"M-Mom? D-Dad?"
"Its good to see you both my beautiful children."
"YOU'RE ALIVE?!"
"Yes, Reece mi hijo."
The Diaz siblings still could not believe the sight that was placed before them.
The people who sat before them still looked the same as they did when they had left eight (8) years ago, just a little more wrinkles sat on their caramel skin.
Catalina's walnut tresses were peppered with grey strands due to the immense stress that seemed to have gone under since the last time they had seen their mother.
Dante's once charcoal locks were now more salt than pepper and he looked weary.Ophelia took a tentative step forward as she looked into the eyes that were so similar to hers and her brother's.
A hand was placed on her shoulder, looking back at Reece, he gave her a supportive smile, letting her know that she was not alone.
Deep down, the Hispanic male knew that she was the one (1) who was most affected by their parents' disappearance as around that time, that was when she needed them the most.
He felt bad because, during the hardest days of her life, he could barely be there as he was trying to keep them afloat with work.
Somedays, he wished he could turn the clocks back so that he could warn the younger version of himself about how badly his sister's condition would worsen.
Looking into her eyes, he saw a lot of pain, agony and fear lurking within the depths.
He knew the questions that were swimming along inside of her thoughts, like what if they are just here to say goodbye for good? Or if they really did not want them anymore?
It was hard for them to understand what was happening and why the pair returned now.
"Mi hijo y mi hija, por favor, vengan y siéntense."
('Mi hijo y mi hija, por favor, vengan y siéntense.' translates from Spanish to English as 'My son and daughter, please come and sit down.')
Frowning slightly, Ophelia took hold of her brother's thin hand and walked with him over to where the older couple (2) sat under the gazebo.
Taking the adjacent seats near the table, the siblings stared at them with questioning gazes that demanded answers.
Sighing, Catalina looked down at her wrinkled hands and twisted the silver wedding band nervously. She knew that her children wanted answers because of everything that happened and how suddenly they left.
"Creo que es hora de que ustedes dos sepan la verdad."
('Creo que es hora de que ustedes dos sepan la verdad.' translates from Spanish to English as 'I think it's time for you two (2) to know the truth.')
"I think it's been long overdue, mother."
Back inside of the castle, Soleil had just finished chatting with Nova and Elias about how they thought their friends were fairing with their parents.
He was now making his way up the stairs to the floor where Cillian was currently resting.
He wanted to check up on his brother in law as he did not get the chance to when he woke up and his mind was worried about his physical being.
Moreso, his mental wellbeing as he normally was not put into situations of danger like what he had just gone through.
Knocking on the door, he heard an immediate muffled, "Come on in, the door is open." Pushing open the door, he saw that his fellow Irishman was laying on his bed, facing the ceiling. Looking over, Cillian smiled softly at the younger man.
