Turning the doorknob, Soleil pushed open the white wooden door and stuck his head into the hospital room. Quinn waved excitedly at his best friend from where he was sitting upright on his bed.
Entering the room, he made his way over to the plastic chair where he had often found himself sitting in when they had no clue when the ginger was going to wake up.
The younger of the pair patted the older man's hand and gave it a squeeze.
"I just want to say that I'm sorry for now coming to visit you again. Things have just gotten so much more hectic with Dinah's wedding drawing closer, the lessons and also the Diaz's coming back."
"Hey, hey. It's okay, I understand, I heard about everything from when Benjamin visited and had brought the twins to meet me."
"Those two (2) are the chubbiest little things ever, I swear."
"They really are, but sunshine I have a feeling you did not come to talk to me about Jasper and Harper."
Allowing his head to drop forward onto the soft mattress, the blonde let out a loud but muffled groan. He heard chuckling come out of his friend and that made him slowly raise his head to show him that he was pouting.
"C'mon, you look adorable, yes but don't try to distract me, mister."
"Fine, fine."
He finally conceded, launching into a detailed explanation about everything that had happened yesterday with Catalina and Dante.
To be honest, he felt as if he had just added another problem to Ophelia and Reece's already mile-long list.
Soleil had honestly thought that it would have been a good idea to try to hunt down the parents and get some answers for their kids.
The last thing he had expected was that they were alive and well, but also some of the most repulsive people he has ever had the displeasure of meeting.
Considering how wonderful and just down to earth their children were, he had hoped that was where they had gotten that from.
Apparently not. The eight (8) years that Reece had raised his baby sister had done them some good, it looked like.
The blonde also broke the news to him that Kodiak was going to be adopted by the mentioned and Reid.
He was so happy for the young boy, but he could not also help but feel guilty for nearly injuring him because of the sickening couple.
"Sunshine, I honestly hope that Odin never allows me to meet those two (2), I think I'd end up throwing a plate at them or something. People like that are just, I don't even have the words to describe them. I can't believe that the pair of angels came from those devils."
The last sentence had sent the Irishman into a fit of giggles that had left him gasping for breath in the most dramatic fashion. Quinn just shook his head and rolled his eyes at the scene that was playing out in front of him.
"Okay, okay, I think I'm good now. That's not all that happened yesterday, however."
"I know."
"HOW DO YOU ALWAYS KNOW I AM NOT DONE!?"
"Soleil, I've known you all my life. If I could not realise something as simple as this, what kind of best friend would I be?"
Waving a pale hand, it was the blonde's turn to make a motion of annoyance and he sneered jokingly at the ginger.
