Draco Pov:

I would never be the one to chase a girl that's completely social suicide. Besides i would never have all of them came to me. Except her. Why was Severa Merlin not intrigued by me like i was her? i cant be soft nor will i have to distance myself from the girl.

A month later...

Severa POV:

It's been about a month since the announcement of the tournament and I couldn't believe that the first thing they had to do was fight a huge dragon. I haven't really spoken to Harry since he drenched me with water and embarrassed me in front of everyone.

but I have been speaking with James. we walk to lunch breakfast and dinner together he always picks me up at my common room he even walks me to classes sometimes he is really sweet.

But I can't help but notice that Draco hasn't said a word to me no snarky comment no nothing. He sometimes catches my eyes but then he looks away. i still have his sweatshirt from the day. I don't want to give it back ever since i smelled the peppermint and cologne smell on it and saw him eating green apples i knew. i knew that Draco Malfoy was the boy i smelled in my love potion. And i just can't stop thinking about him.

Why was he ignoring me? I wonder if he smelled me too? Do i like him? so many questions fluttered threw my head until a voice broke me from my thoughts.

"Now the Yule ball is a very important event that everyone must attend and it is only in two days so you might want to go get something tomorrow to dress well for but first we must learn how to dance everyone grabs a partner," Snap's voice said to a mix of Slytherins and Durmstrang.

I looked around seeing girls squealing with their friends and getting up to go find a partner. All the people beginning to dance around me reminded me of me and my grandfather when he was teaching me how to ballroom dance even though I've been writing to him almost every day I still miss him. I stayed in my seat and took out the new book that i found in the library, taking in the new page smell that i love so much. And i was just about to start reading when i feel someone tap my shoulder. I look up and it's James.

"Care to dance my lady," he said holding his hand out.

"oh no thanks, I'm not the best dancer," i say looking around at the other people dancing than my eyes quickly catch Draco and Pansy with their hands all over each other. But Draco was looking over at James with an annoyed look which is exactly why i said,

"actually why not," i said taking his hand and getting up from the bench.

James had a smile plastered on his face well he put his hand on my waist and his other in my hand and stepped a little too close for my liking but if i wanted Draco's attention this is how to get it.

I and James danced around the room until Snape told us to switch partners.

"mmmm we don't have to switch maybe he won't notice," James said. He was so close now that i could smell his minty breath.

"i believe he said switch partners"a cold voice that i recognized so well said.

"looks like we are caught," James said leaning into my ear brushing his cheek against mine. And then he walked away to find another partner.

But my gaze was broke off when i felt a cold hand grip my waist. and pull me into their chest. and right when he did the smell of peppermint and Cologne filled my nose.

"well if it isn't Draco Malfoy who has been ignoring me for what a month now?" i said in an annoyed tone.

"like you missed me," he said with a chuckle of annoyance.

"i did," i say in a low breath looking down.

"no you didn't" he said lightly putting his thumb under my chin to push my head back up to meet our eyes.

"how do you know," i say with a sad tone.

"because for this month you've had that stupid stupid guy practically drooling over you every single day," he said referring to James.

"so you have been watching?" i say with a light tone of happiness cause if it was true it meant he cared.

"i just know i didn't appreciate his hands all over your body," he said with a serious tone getting closer to me by the second well we effortlessly danced around the room.

"glad i got your attention, but i don't appreciate Your hands all over Pansy's body either," i said with a snap.

"well now they're not there all over yours," he said making small circles around my waist. It shot chills up my spine and a blush to my cheeks.

"You're blushing darling," he said pulling me against his chest whispering in my ear that i could feel his breath on my neck and in my hair. until Snape's voice broke the connection when he said

"okay everyone you excused for the rest of the day get your stuff and leave," he said as i pulled away from a lost in space Draco who was just standing there now with a blank expression.

"Draco" i say waving my hand i front of him. he snaps out of his trans and looks at me with light red cheeks.

"are you okay" i ask.

"uh yea I'm fine," he said flustered then he walked away bag to his friends.

that was weird but at least i have the rest of the day off i think getting my stuff and going back to the common room.

Draco Pov:

I stood there in a trans until her voice woke me up. But i could not believe no no no no did her hair smell like.......Vanilla. She was who i smelled in my potion. Of course, she was.
