Spider-Man Oneshots (Irondad/Spiderson)

25 - Drowning

TW: obviously drowning, swearing, mentions of death.

Peters PoV:

I was on a school trip to a power plant, boring I know but it's better than being stuck in PE with Flash. I was currently sitting next to Ned and talking about Mr Stark and the others.

"So you're an avenger now?" He asked excitedly.

"Yeah, it became official a week ago," I laughed at his reaction, he literally started squealing like a piglet.

"That's so cool man! You're so lucky!"

I nodded and went to speak again but cut myself off when my senses tingled harshly. I looked out the window and saw a huge robot looking thing flying towards us, with many smaller versions of itself behind it.

Luckily Ned was the only other person at the back of the bus, so I could leave. I tore off my shirt and jeans and slipped myself into the red and blue suit that Mr Stark had made me and then I opened the window a flung myself out of it.

"KAREN call Mr Stark now!"

"Calling Mr Stark..."

"Hey kid, what do you need?" Tony asked.

"There's these huge robo-AH..." Peter screamed out as a robot managed to stab him in the leg.

"Kid?! Underoos answer me!" Tony yelled through the line frantically as he called his suit.

"I-I'm good, I'm fine. There are these huge robots attacking us."

"Us?"

"Uh yeah I'm meant to be on a school trip but I kinda had to yeet myself out of the bus to tackle these stupid bots. Only Ned saw so don't worry." Peter replied.

"Ok...ok I'm nearly there with the others, just wait a minute and we'll be there ok?"

"Yeah alright Mr Stark."

I could already hear the avengers making their way over to me in the distance so I jumped back into action, easily taking down several of the particularly angry bots.

Why's it always New York?

Suddenly, I heard screaming and I turned around to see the bus go off the bridge. My eyes widened and I bolted to edge. I jumped off without a moments hesitation and webbed the bus to me as I used my other arm to web myself to the bridge. I could fell my arms stretching only as I held the bus and myself from falling into the icy water below.

"M-Mr Stark, I need your help over here!" I said through gritted teeth.

"Just hold for a second bud, Rhodey and I will be over to you soon I promise." The older man replied.

"Please hurry!"

The muscles in my arms felt like someone was sending them through a paper shredder as I gripped the webs even tighter.

The bus lurched forwards as half of the web snapped, I went down with it but managed to save the bus and myself last second. We were now only about ten feet above the water and it was a haunting view. I could still hear screaming from inside the bus but that was understandable.

"Guys PLEASE hurry! I'm going to drop the bus soon!" I shouted through the coms in fear and pain.

"We're almost done Peter I promise," Rhodey said.

A robot flew down towards me and crashed straight into my chest, which should of been propelling me backwards but because of my webs, it just jolted me very painfully and hard.
