Y/N POV:

This is a never ending cycle. I'm safe. I'm not. I honestly don't care anymore. I just want Spence to be safe. I keep putting him in harms way, and I'm done. It's my turn.

I run to Garcia's "bat cave" and start to look for the number she pinged. Damn Garcia using good at what she does. I keep looking and I finally find it.

(***) ***- ****

I pick up the phone and dial the forbidden number. It rings for a couple of seconds.

I hear the like pickup on the other end.

"Y/Ex/N?"

"Who is this?!?" I hear his menacing voice crack.

"Y/N."

The line is silent.

"Are you trying to get killed."

"No. I just want this all to end and I want you to stop going after Spence and his team."

" I knew you'd come to your senses babe." I can hear his narcissism through the phone.

"How couldn't I?" I cringe at my own words.
He gives me an address to meet him at. I sneak out of the BAU, but not before I leave a note for Spence.

Dear Spencer,

I can't believe I'm doing this, not after Gideon did the same thing, but I have to. I don't have a choice. My ex will never stop. He'll kill me or you either way and if I have a choice it will be me. I'm sorry. That's all I can say honestly, but I couldn't die without telling you this last thing. Spencer, I'm in love with you, and I wanted to spend the rest of my life with you, but that just wasn't gods plan was it? Never give up. You'll find the one someday, sadly it won't be me and not by choice. I want to be yours so bad Spence, but I can't watch you die because of me. Live your life to the fullest, keep catching bad guys, and keep being yourself doctor. My doctor, Doctor Spencer Reid, I love you to the grave and beyond. Goodbye.

As I read over the letter one more time I sit it on his desk and head toward the door.

Life isn't fair, and it wasn't meant to be.
