Adam's POV:
It was around midnight when we arrived at some old abandoned cottage.
This is obviously not where were supposed to be. Why are we out here? He was going to tell us about this yandere trend, but he hasn't spoken since he. Is he hiding something, or is there something linked to this?
Adam: "David, why are we here?"
David: "This is the location that started all this."
We got out of the car, and we walked towards the house. It resembled a barn and an old one at that. But I wasn't sure if we were supposed to be familiar with this building. We walked inside, and looked around. What kind of place was this?! We found a room stained with what I assume to be blood, and another room had a table with buckles, as well as some photos of some completely random people on the walls. Most of them were focused on one particular woman with some jewel embedded into her forehead.
Adam: "David, what is this building?"
David: "This building was owned by a woman. The very woman who started the trend. Listen carefully, this is going to get confusing."
We stepped outside, sat on the porch, or what was left of it, and we listened in to what David was going to tell us. He then pulled out a strange small book. I'm curious about how this will relate to Katherine and Eileen.
David: "Do understand, there wasn't much info on this event. Centuries ago, a woman named Kin Quav found her husband cheating on her with another woman. All I know is that the other woman was named was Abigail. Weeks later, Abigail was found in this very building, strung up in the air by Kin Quav. She was saved, and Kin Quav was accused of performing witchcraft, or something like that on Abigail. She was executed a couple of days after that. But the damage was already done."
Adam: "Was Kin the first "yandere" or whatever?"
David: "Nope. This is where the trend started. Once Abigail had her child with Kin's ex-husband, she started to act differently, which led to her murdering four other individuals. Abigail, before she was taken away, claimed the people she killed were trying to steal her family from her. A couple of decades later, her daughter acted like how Katherine does right now, then her son did it, then his daughter did, and the rest is history. Over the years, these yanderes were starting to find ways of getting better at killing without getting caught. This effect would also pass on to people not even in the same bloodline. It would also pass on to animals."
Adam: "So, did you just describe what a yandere is?"
David: "Sort of. An individual who becomes obsessive towards someone they love, and they become incredibly violent towards either someone they envy or someone they fear will take their loved one away from them."
Jasmine: "Um, is Katherine related to Abigail?"
David: "Yes. Yes, she is. And in case you were going to ask, the yandere effect is something that passes down from generation to generation. Eileen has it, Katherine has it, Y/N has it, and so will her child. If she ever has one that is. She probably will, one way or another. I don't know, I never finished reading this."
Jasmine: "Were you aware of Katherine being related to Abigail?"
David: "Not at all. We never talked about our family history, and Eileen never really spoke to me. I started to expect something out of Katherine. When Y/N turned 10, Katherine started to get a little obsessive."
Jasmine: "I know how Katherine used to treat Y/N, and Y/N right now isn't acting like either of the descriptions of a yandere."
David: "That I don't know."
Adam: "How do you know all this David? You weren't a yandere yourself were you?"
David: "A past relative of mine was a victim of the yandere trend."
Adam: "Did he survive?"
David: "No. He was found with a slit down his stomach."
I was having a hard time trying to process any of this. This was just goddamn ridiculous. Was this even a real trend, or is David talking out his fat ass? If this was just a waste of our time, I'm going to kill him before Katherine even gets a chance. And also, if this is real, why were these type of people always this brutal, and how do they get away with it?
Adam: "Ok, that's enough. We really should get going."
David: "You're right."
While we were heading back to the car, Jasmine had a question to ask. And it was one I too was wanting to ask.
Jasmine: "Is there some kind of cure for this, or a way to keep Y/N from acting like this?"
David: "I was always told that if the yandere is exposed to their victim for too long, the effect will start."
Well, that was interesting. But we need to get Y/N back. This has gone on for far too long. I hope David has a plan. I am not looking forward to dying just yet.
Adam: "Do you have a plan David?"
David: "I got a gas canister."
Adam: "Is that gonna be enough?"
David: "Even if you hate my guts more than anything, you have to trust me, (points at the gas canister behind his seat) that's all we need. I have a couple of other ideas, just in case."
He's right on one thing, but I do not trust him, and I never will. How do I know this won't kill ALL of us? I have a lot of thoughts running through my mind right now, and I keep thinking of different ways were going to die.
Y/N's POV:
I was once again placed inside the crib while mom was reading one of those silly children's books. I'm giving up at this point. I'm never going to get away from them.
Katherine: "Wasn't that a nice story baby? Very symbolic."
Y/N: "..."
Katherine: "I know. This is a massive change, but you'll get used to it. I already have."
Eileen's POV:
My little Kathy was still up after tucking her baby in. She's been worried all night, and she won't tell me why. I'm starting to think she didn't kill David. That's understandable. I did show up a little too soon, and she did have a baby to take care of. I'll fix this myself.
??? (Mind): "Be prepared."
