Beau kept walking with me on his back, which I sorta felt bad about, but I did not want to walk and he said he was fine with it.

"Okay, here we are." My thoughts were broken by Beau's voice as he loosened his grip on my legs so I slide off his back.

"Where are we?" I asked, checking out our surroundings.

I noticed we were still on the beach. I probably shouldn't have kept my eyes closed but I still have this jet lag thing going on.

"Were you not paying attention at all?" Beau asked me with raised eyebrows.

"Umm well....I mean come on jet lag dude." Saving myself from embarrassment didn't work because he just started laughing at me.

"It's not funny" I told him as I punched his shoulder. "Ow, dang you've got a punch." He complained as he rubbed his shoulder.

I on the other hand just rolled my eyes in response. "Ok then miss sassy pants..."

"Don't call me that."

He ignored me and continued on with what he was originally saying. "This is the real surfers paradise." He gestured with his arms to the area in front of us.

I turned from the side position I was in to look out in front of me. What I found was truly amazing. I thought the beaches earlier were crazy, but
this. This is freaking amazing. There were surfers everywhere in the water. Surfers of all ages, from kids who looked 4 to older men who looked like they were in their 50's. It was intense.

"This is absolutely amazing." I told Beau still staring out at the ocean.

"I know, right. I've been coming here since I was 4." I turned towards him only to see him still staring out at the water.

"Wow that's amazing. You've been a surfer for that long?" I asked him. My focus still on him.

"Yeah, this is basically my home away from home." He sounded sad about the it though, still looking out at the water.

I grabbed his wrist and pulled it so he would turn to me. "Thanks for sharing that with me." I smiled at him hoping he would know that it meant a lot he could tell me that. Like he thought of me as a good friend.

He looked down at the sand then back up me with a big smile on his face.

"So you ready to show me if you can really surf?" A smirk now replaced the smile on his face.

"Oh dude you are on." I confidently told him with a smirk also on my face.

"Alrighty then, let's go get you a board." He said strolling away as I followed, walking by his side.

"Where's your board?" He didn't have it earlier.

"It's just up here, come one." He grabbed my hand and lead the way.

We walked towards this cool little apartment building surround by trees and palm trees, the ground a mix of light green grass and dirt. There was little gates in front of each door for personal space. It looked lived in. It was like something you would only imagine really, a frat house of surfers almost. There were surfboards everywhere, towels hung up on fences and tree branches, bathing suits tossed around drying. Music was playing from one part of the building, and laughter was coming from the other. All the doors were open, it looked welcoming. This place was amazing. Beau lead me to one of the doors on the bottom floor on the left side of the building. With no key in hand he pushed the door open and walked in with me behind him. The room we walked into was out of a surfers magazine. It was everything I had ever imagined for me, small and personal. There was a couch against the far wall, a coffee table in front of it with open books, notebooks that were doodled in, pens and pencils everywhere. Little twinkle lights hung up where the walls meet the ceiling. Covering all the walls were drawings and sketches, big and small, completed and rough. There were like nothing I had ever seen before.

"This is where you live?" I asked him, astounded, which was a really stupid question but my mind was all over the place.

"Uhh yeah. Sorry its kinda messy." He replied rubbing the back of his neck.

"These drawings, they are incredible. Did you draw them?"

Looking down at the ground he quietly mumbled a "yeah."

"You are insanely talented."

When he looked back up at me a small smile graced his face. "So how about that surf?" A bigger smile appeared.

I smiled back, but mine could never compare to his.

"I have an extra board seeing as you don't have yours." He semi shouted as he walked towards the front door.

I followed him as he strode around the apartment to the back where there was a medium-size wooden shack. Beau slide open the door and slid inside.
I walked in after him, looking at the walls- all lined up with surf boards. Running my hands along them I sighed, this felt like home. All the boards just lined up, waiting for someone to pick them up and take them in the ocean. Gleefully I chuckled, the amount of boards he had was what I could only hope for someday. Beau suddenly appeared next to me, handing me the strip of wood that I would be using in the ocean.

"Here you go." Skimming my fingers over the board in my hands I looked it over. It looked handmade, which are my favorite boards to ride. It was white with a single light brown stripe going down the front. It was made beautifully, I couldn't wait to see how it would ride.

"Prepare to be destroyed." Without waiting for a response I stepped off towards the beach.
