Gina is back and staying with the Caswell's. during Christmas break, she runs into Ricky, and then on the same day, her boyfriend tells her that Ricky and Nini are back together. What do you do when your heart and your brain say two different things...
Today was supposed to be a normal day. I woke up, got ready, skated to school, went to my locker, said good morning to Nini, and then went to homeroom right before the bell rang. then I realized that Gina wasn't in her seat.
"Hey where's Gina, she's usually early," Ricky asked big red who was sitting next to him.
"um... a different state, she moved to Washington remember," Red said
"Oh, I figured Ashlyn told you. Gina is staying with the Caswell's now." Ricky said while dinking some of his water
"oh, that would explain how Ej and Gina are dating. I figured they were doing long-distance"
"WAIT WHAT," Ricky said while nearly spitting out his water
"Yeah, apparently they kissed after we all left Denny's."
"Why didn't she tell me?" Ricky said a little mad
"maybe because she doesn't have to, just like you don't have to tell her you and Nini are back together."
"I hate it when your right," Ricky says making Big Red laugh.
"I know, you tell me that every time I'm right," Red says
after they talk for a few more seconds Ricky asks to go to the bathroom. on his way out of the bathroom, he bumps into someone.
Gina.
GINA'S POV
Ricky.
It had been a while since he and I talked. What do I say? What do I do? Do I hug him? Do I high five him? Do I... NO, I CAN'T DO THAT. THAT WOULD BE WRONG NOT ONLY TO EJ BUT TO NINI. Nini who is dating Ricky. who I'm finally on good terms with. someone I'm friends with. I can't do that to her. what am I supposed...
"GINA, GINA ARE YOU OK," Ricky said waking me up from my thoughts.
"huh"
"I asked if you were ok"
"oh yeah I'm fine," she says while trying to end the conversation
"Then why you walking to the office"
"Principle Gutierrez asked me if I could show the new kid around because we have classes together for the first half of the day and apparently the new kid's joining theater.
"ok, what's her name."
"first of all the new kid's a he. and second I don't know I think it's Caleb or something."
"cool"
"well, I should get going before I'm late but I'll see you in a few minutes because I think the new guy has already had a tour of the school so I just need to walk him to his classes," Gina says as her last attempt to leave.
"bye."
"bye."
after my talk with Ricky, I continue to walk to the office. when I walk in I see a medium height but taller than me brunette with brown eyes and a slight mustache. He's wearing a plain gray shirt with black jeans and boots. he seems... nice

"Hello, Ms. Porter this is Caleb Cook. Mr. Cook this in Genevieve porter, I think you two will be good friends." Principle Gutierrez says while walking away
"Everyone just calls me Gina," she says to Caleb
"I don't know, I think I like the name Genevieve," Caleb says making me laugh
"how do you do that?"
"do what?"
"be so comfortable with me"
"you seem nice"
"well I wasn't always nice"
"well, you have to walk me to my homeroom and every class until lunch so you have plenty of time to tell me about your not-so-nice days."
"well while I tell you about that we can walk to homeroom."
"ok."
during the walk, Gina explains the whole wonderstudy situation and by the time she is finished, they are outside their homeroom.
"you ready to meet everyone." Gina asked
"yep"
lunchtime
"You're joking right." Gina says trying not to scream
"no I'm not." Caleb says
"I can't believe you've never seen Harry Potter it's like the best movie series ever"
"if it's the best movie then why haven't I seen it"
"because not everyone has as good taste as I do"
By the first half of the day gina and Caleb had become good friends. During gym, Gina told Caleb about the whole Ricky situation. in return, Caleb told her she could sit with him and a guy he agreed to sit with for some reason. Even though it would be a good excuse to avoid talking to Ricky she still wanted to see EJ so she told Caleb she was fine.
"bye," Caleb said once they started to part ways in the cafeteria
"bye and see you in theater"
once they parted ways gina goes to sit with the rest of her friends and Caleb goes and sits with the people he said he would sit with 2 tables away.
"hey guys." gina says
everyone except for the people who already knew was so happy to see her. after gina explained how she is back they all started talking...well Nini started talking. Gina wasn't really listening and no one noticed except for Ricky who chose to point that out for some reason.
"Hey Gina, you ok?" Ricky said a little concerned
"I don't know Richard, are you ok?" Gina said teasingly and Ricky laughs in return
"Anyway...so Gina what are you auditioning for in the play," Nini said trying to but-in on the conversation
"I don't know yet. but isn't the play like beauty and the beast or something"
"Yeah I think that's what it said in the email," Ricky said
"Cool. Cool. so gina who do you think is going to get beast? no better yet, who do you think should be beast?"
Gina was starting to feel a little uncomfortable. She knew that Nini was just trying to start a conversation that didn't involve her and Ricky's romantic-like banter. But, either way, gina felt like she was in a weird position.
"um, I honestly think-"
"Genevieve can we talk for a second" a familiar voice said
