All Good Things Happen in the Bomb Shelter

It won't be shown in this chapter but I changed Caleb's last name to Cook. Anyway enjoy the chapter <3

Caleb's pov

After my first 4 classes, gina and I went our separate ways in the cafeteria, and by that I mean two tables away. During lunch, I was talking to some guys trying to convince me to join the Waterpolo team, but I noticed something weird. Gina seemed a little uncomfortable

"Cool. Cool. So Gina who do you think is gonna get Beast? better yet, who do you think should be Beast?"

When he overheard the brunette say that, he automatically saw gina tense up. 

"um, honestly I think-"

"Genevieve can we talk for a second," I said after walking over there in an attempt to help her.

"Yeah, of course." she said

understanding what I was trying to do, Gina quickly got up and started to walk out of the cafeteria with me.

Ricky's Pov

"what was that about" I asked Nini not long after gina left.

"what are you talking about?" Nini replied

"I'm talking about how you were obviously trying to manipulate the situation?"

"No, I wasn't."

"Yes, you were."

"No. I. Wasn't."

"Yes. You. Were."

"you know what, so what if I was?" Nini said looking at Ricky

When Nini said that the whole atmosphere of the table changed. Everyone went silent and looked directly at Nini. Nini kept looking at Ricky as he spoke.

"Wow. who you knew you could be so manipulative, Neens." Ricky said while getting up and walking out of the cafeteria.

After Ricky left, he went to the bomb shelter thinking no one was gonna be there, but when he got there he heard talking.

"it's just been a weird first day back, yeah know."

"yeah, I get it. hey, I'm always here for you though. okay?"

"Yeah, course."

It didn't take long for Ricky to realize that the people talking were gina and the new guy. something came over Ricky and he decided to walk into the Bomb Shelter anyway. It took Caleb and Gina a minute before they realized they weren't alone, but once they realized the room went silent until someone finally spoke.

"uh hey." Ricky said awkwardly

"hey." Gina says

"I should get going." Caleb says then leave the Bomb Shelter

"bye" 

"um, c-can I talk to you for a few minutes." Ricky says in an attempt to start a conversation

"Sure what is it."

"I just wanted to say I'm sorry for what Nini was saying in the caf."

"it's not your fault."

"but it is. I could have stopped her from saying those things to you."

"Ricky seriously, it's fine. I promise." Gina said and then seconds later looked at the door to see someone standing there. 

"hey."

Nini's pov

"Ricky seriously, it's fine. I promise." Nini heard Gina say to Ricky

Nini felt bad after making Gina feel uncomfortable and never liked it when Ricky was mad at her. So she gathered up all her courage and went to look for Gina to apologize but Ricky had already apologized for her.

"hey." Nini says interrupting their conversation

"um hi." Ricky says confused

"what are you doing here Nini?" asked Ricky

"um can I talk to Gina for a second?"

Ricky had hesitated for a second obviously worried Nini was gonna make things worse. But something inside of Ricky told him that everything is ok.

"uh yeah sure. I'll talk to you guys later"

"Bye" the girls say in unison

Ricky left the bomb shelter and everything went quiet for a while until Nini finally said something.

"Look gina...I'm so sorry for what happened in the cafa- I'm just so so sorry that I put you in that awkward position."

"it's all good Nini." gina said calmly.

"oh my God thank you gina. it's just that I know you and Ricky were close when he and I brokeup and now that we're back together I didn't want that to messed up because of you and his history. that still doesn't justify my actions and I'm so so so sorry." Nini said apologetically

"Nini...I would never do anything to purposely mess up what you and Ricky have. I really am trying to change and not be problematic I'm sorry if I made you feel like you had to be defensive. I hope we can move past this." Gina says sincerely

"me too."
