Bathroom Pep Talks

EJ's POV

After Gina left the table, then Ricky, AND THEN Nini, EJ decided to go check on Gina. After looking for what felt like an eternity (but was really only 3 minutes) he decided to take a break and that's when he heard a noise coming from the boy's bathroom. crying? EJ initially wasn't going to go in but then he heard someone say "why does it always happen to me?" that's what he needed to hear in order to realize that it was Ricky. Ricky and EJ haven't always been best buds, but EJ cared enough to check upon him.

"Hello? who's there?" EJ said. even though EJ cared about Ricky, he didn't want other people to know that, so he pretends he didn't know who he was.

"EJ? Is that you?" Ricky said in a barely audible tone.

"Ricky? Why are you crying? What happened?" Ej said still trying to pretend like he didn't already know who was in hear

The room fell silent, Ricky was starting to put himself back together and his breath was regulating. It stays like that for a while until Ej finally speaks.

"do you want to talk about it"

"...Nini"s moving to Denver so she can go to Y.A.P or whatever it's called."

"so you guys are breaking up?"

"No. Yes. I don't even really know."

"Well...have you talked to her about it?"

"Yeah, when she told me she was moving, and all she said was that it was up to me." 

"well I'm not very good at inspirational speeches but I do know that you and Nini are great together, and this is coming from someone who how dated her, but as she said, it's up to you."

"Yeah, I guess. Thanks, EJ, I really needed that."

"Anytime dude...anytime. Well anyway, have you seen gina? I was looking for her before I was in here."

"um last time I saw her was before I left the bomb shelter so Nini could apologize to Gina alone, but she's probably not in there anymore...sorry."

"it's ok. thanks anyway." and with that EJ left the bathroom and Ricky was left alone with his thoughts.
