Chapter 2 (Making Amore a male reader)

~Spinel's P.O.V.~

That human boy just left my room. Though, I swear I could still feel his presence, but it was fading without him around. I know I just met him, but...I needed him around. He was the only one who actually came to visit me. Everyone else just avoids me, even the Diamonds.

But, I can't follow him. He told me to stay here and if I leave then I would be disobeying him. Hang on, why do I have to obey him? I'm built for friendship so I know friends don't "obey" each other. So, why do I have to do what he says?

Sure, it would upset him, but friends forgive each other. So if we really are friends then he will forgive me. Plus, he can't punish me if I don't let him. Besides, gems are naturally stronger than humans. That's it, I'll follow him.

I need to have him around me at all times. Nobody else wants me around, and without anyone to be my best friend...what's the point in me existing? With this decided, I pulled myself together and started following him, though I made sure to keep my distance. I'll admit, it took me a few minutes to gather my courage to leave Pi-...her old room. There, Amore, my new best friend, was already down the hall.

So, quickly, I caught up to him but stayed silent and out of sight, using my stretching ability to stay on the ceiling. I wanted to know where he stayed before catching up to him. If there was even the slightest chance he would stop being my best friend, then this way I'll know where he lives. That way I can make it up to him until he forgives me and we become best friends again. Anyway, it wasn't long until he & Steven made it to the warp pad.

If Steven was with him then obviously they were warping to his home. As soon as they left I felt a pain in my gem. It hurt so badly that I nearly fell from the ceiling. I don't know why but seeing him leave me made my gem ache like there was a crack in it. I need to have him around me at all times.

After the Diamonds left the room I followed my best friend through the warp and appeared in Steven's living room. The sound of the warp pad attracted their attention so I quickly swung up to the ceiling.

Steven: What was that?

Amore: I don't know, possibly a small glitch? Maybe a gem was trying to follow us to say something?

I smiled upon hearing his voice. Already, my best friend was giving me happy moments to remember. I wonder what else he can do to make me happy?

Steven: Hmm, well it can't hurt to take a look. C'mon, let's go.

Amore: Nah, I'll stay this time.

Steven: What happened to wanting to go before?

Amore: Well, I met this curious gem and I have some plans to update.

Steven: Plans to update? Does that mean you're not coming over later tonight for video games?

Amore: Maybe, I'll let you know later.

Steven: Okay.

Steven ran over to the warp pad.

Steven: If you cancel you have to babysit Onion tomorrow morning.

Amore: What?!

The star boy gave an evil laugh before warping away. I looked at Amore and saw the frustrated look on his face. Honestly, I got a little mad. Why did Steven have to make my best friend angry like this? I can't have him being angry, I'm his best friend after all.
