I knocked on the door and Stan opened the door. "Hey James. My brother's in the living room with Dipper.

"Thanks." I stepped in and closed the door behind me. I walked into the living room with a smile. "I have pit cola."

"King!" Ford's face broke into a smile.

"Hi, Mr. Porter." Dipper smiled. "I'll take one of those."

I popped three off the six pack for the three of us. "Here you are, boys."

Dipper popped his open. "Ugh, I'm still so embarrassed about earlier. I'm such an idiot."

"From now on, no more secrets between us. We're not the first two idiots to be tricked by Bill, boy." Ford set a hand on Dipper's shoulder. "But if we work together, we could be the last."

"But what about Bill?" Dipper asked. "I broke the machine! Now we have no way to protect the shack!"

"Bill?" I asked, thinking the name familiar.

Before either could respond, Mabel pushed passed me and slammed rainbow colored hair down on the table. "Did someone say "unicorn hair"?!" Candy, Grenda, and Wendy were behind her. All four were beat up and covered in various shiny fluids.

"Oh my," I said, looking over the girls.

"Uh, no, actually?" Dipper said.

"Oh. That would have been perfect. Either way we got some unicorn hair!" Mabel waved it in Dipper's face.

"Also some unicorn tears," Candy said, "and unicorn eyelashes..."

Grenda dumped a treasure chest on the counter. "They finally gave us this treasure just to get rid of us!"

"It... can't be! This is a great day, girls!" Ford took the hair from Mabel. "With this unicorn hair, we should be able to completely shield the shack from Bill's mind-reading tricks!"

Mabel smiled up at Ford. "Is it okay?"

"Better than okay; it's perfect! You've protected your family." Ford put a hand on her shoulder. "You're a good person, Mabel."

"Thanks, Grunkle Ford," Mabel smiled, "but today I learned that morality is relative."

"So what do you want to do?" I asked Ford as he finished gluing the unicorn hair into the RV for our road trip.

"I want to secure your apartment as well," Ford said, "but there isn't enough hair left."

"Don't worry about that," I said. "I mean what do you want to do right now? For our date?"

"Did someone say date!?" Mabel yelled as she seemed to appear from nowhere.

I jumped in surprise. "Mabel," I sighed. "Please don't jump out at us like that."

"Look at you two love birds!" Mabel said, placing her hands on her cheeks excitedly. "Like Waddles and Gompers!"

"What?" I asked. "Who's Gompers?"

"Doesn't matter!" Mabel said as she grabbed Ford's hand and pulled him into the house. "Give us twenty minutes!"

"Uh..." Ford looked uncomfortable but let her lead him. "I'll be back, James!" The door slammed between us. I chuckled as Stan walked up.

"Funny how she just got over a majorly creepy crush on you a few weeks ago."

"Don't remind me," I said. "That was the most awkward month of my life."

"You think that was awkward for you?" Stan laughed. "I had to talk to her about stopping."
