"Mr. Estrabao, right?"
"Umm, yes. Do I know you young man???? "
"I'm Shawn Mendes, a friend of your daughter."
"Oh!! I've heard about you from her. The most popular boy in town, huh???" He smiled.
I already like him. He's so nice.
"Uh.. Yeah.." I chuckled.
"Why are you here??? Is everything okay???"
"Umm, actually my friend Charlie went through an accident. This was the nearest hospital so I brought him here."
"Oh I'm so sorry!! Is he fine now??"
"Yeah, absolutely. Thank you.
You're here to see Selena I guess??""I'm here to see Karel. Selena had left in the morning. Why??? Did something happen to her??? Is she okay???"
What??? What the hell is he saying??
"What??? Selena left in the morning?? What do you mean?? She's in a coma right?? Admitted in the ICU here???"
"No no dear, that's Karel. She had gone through an accident six months ago. The hospital in our city wasn't advanced enough so we brought her here and shifted to this city. Selena didn't tell you about her??? She had said you are really close to her."
I can't say anything to him. I've to pretend.
"Oh yeah, she had told me. Maybe I forgot. A lot is going through right now so I'm just confused. I'm sorry."
"No no it's alright. It felt great to talk to you. I really needed it. Thank you so much. And I hope that whatever you're going through will be over soon."
"Thank you."
I got up and went away from him.
What?? So Selena is Karel and Karel is Selena???
What was he saying????
Is he out of his mind???
He can't be. He's their father. He would know.
That means these sisters were lying to us all the time???
Who they said they were wasn't true at all?????
I couldn't think.
I went to the reception desk and asked the woman there,
"Excuse me, can you tell me who's the patient in the ICU room number 403???""Let me check sir.
Sir it's Miss Karel Estrabao."Whaaatttt????????
"Okay, thanks."
