This night is cold in the kingdom
I can feel you fade away
From the kitchen to the bathroom sink and
Your steps keep me awake

Don't cut me down, thrown me out, leave me here to waste
I once was a man with dignity and grace
Now I'm slipping through the cracks of your cold embrace
So please, please

Could you find a way to let me down slowly?
A little sympathy, I hope you can show me
If you wanna go then i'll be so lonely
If you're leaving baby let me down slowly

Let me down, down
Let me down, down
Let me down, let me down
Down, let me down, down
Let me down
If you wanna go then I'll be so lonely
If you're leaving baby let me down slowly

ABUJA, NIGERIA

It's three weeks to the wedding and I still have that nagging feeling that something big is about to drop.

Yaya now acts normal but I still feel like he is hiding something from me, let's not even forget the pitiful looks yaya Musty throws at me anytime we meet, I try to just ignore it and brush it of my shoulders but it's becoming too intense.

"Sarah when are you going on a break ne?" Manal asked and I giggled.

"Today is my last day." I replied and she muttered a 'thank God'

"It's seems like you are tired of seeing my face." I voiced out and she nodded. "Seeing you everyday is getting really disturbing." I rolled my eyes.

"So, spill." I looked up from my pile of flies and gave her a puzzled look. "Spill what?"

"Don't pretend Maisarah." I raised an eyebrow. "I don't understand Manal, what are you trying to say?"

"Don't act like I don't notice you sulking around, you are a bride to be but you look sleep deprived, Sarah what's wrong?" I sighed and removed my spectacles.

"Nothing Manal, it's probably stress." I replied and she scoffed.

"Which stress exactly huhh....! All the wedding preparations is being handled by all of us." She started but when she saw I had no intentions to talk, she continued.

"......or is it that you don't like yaya anymore?" She asked and I remained quiet.

"Answer the damn question Sarah, you are not a kid!" I flinched at the tone of her voice and before I could stop it, I bursted into tears.

It is not a surprise to me anymore because that's all I do now, everytime I pray to Allah it always ends in tears. I have become so delicate and I don't like that. Nothing has happened to me yet and I am breaking down like I have lost everything in the world. What will happen when it finally comes? How will I be able to handle it?

Manal stared at me with widened eyes and immediately engulf me in a warm hug which I really appreciated because I needed that.

She let me cry and spoil her black abaya while she makes soothing circular motions on my back.

I let go of her and she handed me the box of tissue on my desk. I picked a tissue and blowed my nose. She stood up and locked the office door probably to avoid unwanted guests interrupting us.
