Your POV: I was sorting out things around my house when my phone when off. It was a text from Jake.
Jake B ✨ How do you feel about tonight for that dinner?
I smiled texting back immediately.
Y/n 🤍 Definitely. I'm up for it.
Jake B ✨ I'll pick you up at 6:30.
Y/n 🤍 Sounds good to me.
I had a while before I needed to get myself ready. Time went on and it was soon ready for me to get ready for the evening. I decided to wear something date night like (if that makes sense). This is what I wore:

The door bell rang. 6:30pm came around quickly. I quickly made my way over to the door. I opened it seeing Jake standing there looking all smart. "Ready?" He asked with his charming smile. I nodded my head. "Yeah." I smiled. He held out his arm for me. I place my arm around his and we began to walk towards the city centre. Well towards icebergs anyways. We walked to the restaurant laughing at one another's jokes. Jake opened the door for me letting me in first. "Thank you." I smiled at him walking inside. We got directed to a table and Jake pulled out the chair for me before I could. I smiled. "Thank you." I said again before he sat down in front of me. He's being such a gentleman. I really am seeing a different side of him tonight.
We settled down and looked on the menus for tonight before someone headed over to our table. "Hello I'm going to be your waiter tonight what can I get for you?" The waiter asked. Jake and I ordered our food/drinks. "It'll be right with you." He said smirking at me walking off. I looked over at Jake who himself was smirking at me. I rolled my eyes smiling. "Someone likes you." He smirked. "Totally. Like I would." I replied making him nearly burst out laughing. The waiter came back over with our drinks. "Your food will be with you soon." He said before walking off. I took a sip of my drink realising something on the napkin under my drink. I cloaked on my drink. "You ok there?" Jake asked. "He gave me his number." I said noticing the waiter looking at me. I brushed him off. Jake gave me a look. "The answer your looking for is no. I will never." I told him making him relax. Our food came and we tucked in.

The two of us walked out of the restaurant and it was dark. Jake took my hand as we walked. "Why don't you date guys like me?" Jake asked. I didn't know how to respond. "My previous relationship was hell. And I don't trust guys anymore after what happened." I exclaimed nearly crying. Jake wrapped his arms around me. "I'll never hurt you." He told me. "You'll have to gain my trust first." I mumbled. "Well I've started off with something great but it can take as long as you need. I'm always going to be here." He told me as I smiled. "Thank you." I said. We walked for a while. "I'm sorry how I acted at work yesterday." I said to him. "Don't worry about that." He said.
We arrived to my house. "Will you be ok walking home in the dark?" I asked as we stared at one another. He nodded his head. "Yeah I'll be ok." He smiled. "You have a nice smile." I told him making his blush/laugh looking at the floor. We pulled away smiling. "Goodnight Jake." I smiled walking inside my house. He walked away as I shut my door. Tonight was a great night! I loved it! I sorted my place out and got myself ready for bed. My phone went off.
Jake B ✨ I'm home and safe x
I smiled at my phone. I'm glad he's safe. I like him. I really do.
