"Hey mom!!!" My sibling Andrew yells as he sees me on my phone. "What sweetie?" Mom walks into the room. She smiles at Andrew, but once her eyes landed on me she frowned. "Ella won't get off her phone." Andrew glares at me. "I'm listening to music so I can study for my test tomorrow." I show my mom what I was doing. She just shakes her head. "If you are going to study. Do it in your room. Your brother and sister don't want to listen to your music!" She yells at me as I stand up. My face showed no emotion as I walk past her and my brother. Of course I have to move into my own room. I'm ready to leave this family. Mom treats me as if I'm not her daughter. Dad treats me the same way. Andrew is always acting like he owns everything I have since he's the oldest. Grace just hates me. She always says the guys she likes like me. She's always sitting there spreading rumors about me. I can't stand it. I want to run away as much as possible. When it's my birthday I will. When I turn 16 I promise I will run away...

I'm surprised I kept my promise. I sit up from my bed. Father was standing at my door. "Good morning Crystal..." He smiles as he walks over to me. I hum as I rub my eyes. "Cole is here by the way. I sent him to your office." Father ruffles my hair as he starts to leave my room. "Hey dad?" I stare down at my hands. My Father hums in response. "Thank you...For taking me in..." He smiles as he walks out of my room. I may not show my thanks to him for taking me in, but some days I have to tell him thank you. He saved me after all.

"Good morning Cole!" I smile at the male as he jumps a little from me walking into my office. "Someone is in a good mood..." Cole looks at me then back to the file. I place my arm around his shoulder. "I get to work a good assassin and I get to see some ex best friends from my past life!" He rolls his eyes as he turns to face me. "Should I be scared to see you like this?" My eyes widen at his words. "What no! I am just in a good mood!" My brother chuckles as I turn around to see him in my door way. "Cole it is a rare sighting to see Crystal like this. Enjoy it, while you can." Tony walks away with a smile on his face. I remove my arm from Cole's shoulders. "Shall we get to business?" I smile and sit down beside him. He nods his head and looks at the case file. "Shall we talk to Rose?" I nod my head as I start to pull stuff up on her. "It seems she's still living at her parents old house." A small smile forms as I remember some memories we had there. Cole stands up as he grabs his coat. "Well lets go...We may have to hide the body." I immediately stand up at his words. "Killing her is a big no! Rose  is easy to make her believe I am dead. Especially if we bring some evidence with us!" I hold out my phone as I wave it slowly. Cole looks at me confused. "Then why did we kill Jessi?" I smile darkly at his question. "Easy...I wanted him dead..." My eyes show darkness as I smile at him. "Let's just go, before you become all scary..." He starts to walk away. "Hey wait up! I am not scary!" I run after him as he smiles at my small figure.

We arrive at Rose's house. A small smile was on my face. "You must have a lot of great memories here." I look at Cole as I giggle. "Yes, a lot of good memories were made here. Rose was the only who liked me for me. She was like a actual sister to me." MY smile fades as I see her in the windows. "You must really care for her." He looks at me as I nod. "Lets go I want to get this done with." He nods and exits the vehicle. I soon follow and walk up to the door. I take a deep breathe as I carefully knock on the door. "May I help you?" Rose looks at me and Cole. "Yes, actually...Do you know this woman?" I pull my phone out and show a picture of myself when I was 16. Rose's eyes widen as she sees the picture. "Ella Castaway...I was good friends with her before she went missing...Do you have information about her?!" Her eyes show a tad bit of hope. I frown as she realizes my next words. "Yes, but they are good...May we come in?" Cole asks this since I wasn't able to tell her. It breaks my heart to tell the one person who kept me alive. Rose nods and lets us in. "You can take a seat anywhere..." Cole nods at her words. He grabs my hand and pulls me to the couch. "So she really is dead..." Rose stares at her hands. "Yes...I am sorry for your lost, but we knew Ella." Cole places a hand on my shoulder. I had brought a box of some old memories of me and Rose. "She wanted me to give you this..." I hand her the box and see her smile. "She said it meant a lot to her. You saved her from her parents and made her feel some happiness..." My voice was quiet, but I meant every word. Rose starts to tear up as she opens the box. "She was amazing person...She grew up in abusive...and toxic house. Do you know who killed her yet?" Rose stares at the box. "No, I'm sorry..." Cole looks at me then to Rose. "You should look into her family. I have suspicions they did it..." Rose looks up to me with hatred in her eyes. "Why do you say that?" Cole asks as he looks at her confused. "Her family hates her. Even to this day! Ella always had me as her escape from them. I always thought they were the reasons she's dead... Look I promised her I wouldn't tell the police, but...She was planning to run away on her 16 birthday..." Cole's eyes widen. "And you think her family found out?" Cole asks this as he stands up and looks at pictures of me and her. "Of course I do...Ella always hid her emotions, but I knew she was close to just ending everything. She was a very good friend. I never wanted her to run away. Though I hope she's living better in piece..." My eyes land on a picture of us hugging. "Rose...Ella loved you deeply and if she was here right now...I know she would be thankful for bringing her joy." I smile as I stand up and walk over to Cole. "For now all we can do is remember the good memories of her. The memories that brought her the best joy. I believe those memories are in that box...." I grab Coles hand. "We will be leaving now...I hope you have good day..." I smile as I pull him out of the house. Once we get inside his car tears fall from my face. "Hey..." He places both his hands on face as he rubs the tears away. "I know that had to take a lot...It's the best we can do for now..." He smiles as he kisses my forehead. I nod and mumble a thank you. "She was my only best friend...I hope she get over this..." My voice was shaky. I really didn't want to talk about this, but Rose doesn't need to know I am alive. If she finds out...I don't know what would happen. Cole would casually look over at me. He must be concerned. Or he scared what Tony might do since I've been crying. Oh no..."Hey if Tony asks why I've been crying...Just say that I had to act like I was dead to the only person who kept me alive..." He frowns but soon leans over to kiss my forehead. I try to hide the blush forming by looking out the window. "I'm sure Tony will understand. Hey...Your father talked to me this morning. Do you think we will have to face your actual parents...?" His question seemed hesitant. Though I look over to him with full eyes. "Let's hope not...they brought great pain to me..." I turn back to the window as I stare at the grass. I see Cole look over at me, but looks back to the road.

We soon arrive to the mansion. Father and Tony were outside talking to some butlers and maids. Cole and I exit the vehicle. "We are back Father..." I give a small smile at him as we walk over to the door. Father smiles at me. "Welcome back sweety!" I smile and look behind me to make sure Cole was following me. "If you need me and Cole we will be in my office!" I enter the house and start walking to my office. Cole walks beside me. "Do you want me to come by tomorrow?" He smiles down at. I nod as we get to my office. "Yes there's only a few more people on the file. They should be easy to talk to." He nods and opens the door for me. I smile and say a quick thank you.
