Chapter Fifteen, let's Take Down Black Star

~Momoko's P.O.V~

"Alright every one got eyes on Miya?", Butch asked over the ear piece Bluetooth thing we all had in our ears. "Roger that", Brick said. "What Red?", Kaoru asked. "I don't know. They say that in movies", Brick said as he shrugged. "Okay anyways. Yeah I see them. They are walking right across the street from us", I said. "We're up on the tall construction crane hanging over the road", Brick said. "Alright we're on the billboard a few buildings away from you", Butch said. "I see you guys", I said as I nodded to them. "Miya can you see us?", Brick asked. I looked down to see Miyako look us at the crane. "No you guys are pretty well hidden up there", Miyako said. "Good", I said. "What about us?", Butch asked. "Nope your to far away", Boomer said. "Good now stay in this area okay? I called a news outlet and tipped them off your hear so it shouldn't be long now", Butch said. "Okay", Miyako said as she stopped to look at some flowers. Boomer stopped too and pretended to smell them but I knew he was on edge. Hell I would be to if Brick was the bait. I crouched down and held onto the metal bars that I was standing on. One slip and i'd fall. If it wasn't for my powers and being able to fly I'd be so scared. I'd fall to my death without my powers. We had to be at least 20 stories high right? The crane is on top of a building so maybe even higher? "You okay?", Brick asked. "I'm fine just nervous. I hope we can stop her", I said. "Don't worry. We can do it. I know we can", Brick said as he tried to give me a reassuring smile but I could tell he was worried too. I looked down to the billboard to see Butch with a stern hard expression on his face. He must be on edge too. Kaoru was running her fingers through her hair as she frowned. Kaoru usually does that when she's anxious. The only one who seems calm is Miyako. Probably because she knows she can trust us. We all know the risk of letting her down. Without her being transformed she could die getting hit with that fire to much. She has chemical Z in her DNA but it's stronger while she's transformed. "Guys I see our first news crew. Also seen a paparazzi guy trying to get pictures", Butch said snapping me back into reality. "I see the news people", I said. "Alright step one done. Onto step two. Miyako and Boomer have to talk with the news people", Butch said. "Gotcha", Boomer said as he looked up towards Butch. "Alright we can still talk to you but don't respond to us when your talking to them. Black Star sees that then she'll know something is up", Butch said. Miyako and Boomer both nodded their heads in response. I looked at the news crew and seen they had already gotten out of their van and was getting a camera ready. A lady with dark brown hair and green eyes that wore a dark orange dress stared at Miyako as she said something to her camera guy. That's Summer Walters. She's the reporter on one of the big news outlets here. Summer straightened her dress and fixed her hair. She must be getting ready to go talk to Miyako. Summer quickly began walking up to Miyako. Boomer had just paid a food truck for some coffee and they was both turning away from the truck when Summer approached them. "Hello, I'm Summer Walters and I'm a reporter. I was wondering if I could interview the both of you", Summer said. We could hear summer through our ear pieces since she's so close to Miyako and Boomer. "Yeah we can do that", Miyako said. "Really! Wow thanks! Usually it's so hard getting a celebrity to say yes to a random interview ", Summer said. "It's no problem at all", Boomer said as he smiled. "Thank you! I'll get my camera guy!", Summer said as she quickly walked back to get her camera man. Boomer walked over to a table that was set up near the food truck and pulled out a chair for Miyako to sit down. "Thank you Boomer", Miyako said as she sat down. "Your welcome Miya", Boomer said as he pushed her chair in. Boomer then went and sat down in a chair next to Miyako. "How long do you think it will be before Black Star shows up?", Brick asked. "Well going by the gossip of Miyako and Boomer walking around it could be any time. Going by the news people it could be a half hour to an hour. I'm not sure", Butch said. "Well hopefully it happens soon so we can stop her fast.", Brick said. "Guys what about Summer and the camera guy?", I asked. "What about them?", Kaoru asked. "Well they are kinda in the cross fire here. Someone has to protect them and make sure they don't get hurt", I said. "Damn your right. Uh I guess brick can grab them both and fly them to their van then get back to helping", Butch said. "I'm not leaving Momoko", Brick said. "I'm sure they will be smart enough to run. Hell you know they are gonna stay and record the fight", Kaoru said. "Yeah I guess your right. But still let's keep an eye on them", I said. "Alright", Butch said. I looked down to see Summer and her camera guy walking back to Miyako and Boomer. "Alright guys show time", Butch said. "This is my camera guy Dan", Summer said. "Hello", Dan said as he smiled. "Nice to meet you", Boomer and Miyako said. "I'll just be asking a few questions", Summer said as she sat down in the chair across the table from Miyako and Boomer. "Okay", Miyako said. Dan quickly set up his tripod and set his camera on top. "Okay and we are rolling in three two one", Dan said then held up his finger signaling that he had started recording. "Good afternoon. I'm Summer Walters here with Miyako Gotokuji and Boomer Jojo, world famous fashion designers", Summer said. "Ah hello", Miyako said as she smiled into the camera. Boomer look like he was trying to keep his cool but I know he's worried that black star could show up any time. "So may I ask what brings you here to Los Angeles all the way from Milan?", Summer asked. "Well actually we came to visit with our friends", Miyako said. "Yes my brother and his fiancé", Boomer said. "Oh I see. Brick Jojo and Momoko Akatsutsumi", Summer said. "Yes. See we decided to take some time off to come here. We really missed them", Miyako said. "I bet. You all must be super close considering you guys are the power puff girls z and rowdy ruff boys z", Summer said. "Yes we are very close. This separation due to going to different colleges has definitely been hard but we make time to call each other", Boomer said. "So may I ask... your wearing an engagement ring. Have you set the wedding date?", Summer asked. "Actually we haven't picked a date yet. We haven't even started planning yet. We want to wait until after we graduate college and move back home to Japan before we start planning", Miyako said. "All our family and friends live in Japan so it will be easier to do it there", Boomer said. "Well I wish you both the best of luck with your wedding. I know they are stressful to plan", Summer said. "Ah that's okay. If any one can do it it's Miyako. She's great at planning and organizing", Boomer said as he smiled and put his arm around Miyako. "Aww Boomer", Miyako said as she blushed. "So is it okay to ask about your clothing line? There has been a lot of talk in the gossip magazines about your brand M&B releasing some new designs", Summer said. "Actually we are making more designs. After we have all the ones we chose done and we approve then they will start to be made. So by summer time they should be in stores", Boomer said. The minutes started to pass by as Summer asked more and more questions. I started looking around in the sky to see if black star was any where. So far nothing yet. Maybe Butch's plan isn't working? But it has to work right? If it doesn't then how else will we find black star without waiting until she chooses to fight us again. By that time my friends could be gone and it would be just brick and I left to fight them. Suddenly I seen something out of the corner of my eye. I whipped my head around to see black star and nebula flying in the sky. "Red alert red alert. I have eyes on black star and nebula", I said. "Where?", Brick, Butch and Kaoru asked at the same time. "To our right. They are passing the building with the blue sign", I said as I looked down at miya and boomer. Boomer looked like he was so tense. "Alright they are close enough! Go go go!", Butch yelled. "Momoko be careful", Brick said as he jumped off the crane and began flying toward black star. I quickly did the same and seen Butch and Kaoru right behind us. Black star hadn't seen us yet but she was diving down towards Miyako. I quickly flew as fast as I could and slammed into black star. "Gaahh!", Black star yelled in surprise. We both slammed into the ground a few feet from Miyako and Boomers table. We hit the ground hard and black star slipped out of my hands as we rolled across the concrete. "Run to safety! Get out of here!", Boomer yelled to Summer and Dan as he jumped up. Black star lifted her head and looked at me. "You", black star said through clenched teeth. We both quickly pushed ourselves up off the ground. Suddenly bricks yo-yo went flying around black star. "Miya you gotta transform now!", Brick said. Miyako nodded her head and began to transform. "You think this string can hold me?", black star said as she laughed. Suddenly the black fire started to burn from her body making Brick's yo-yo string burn away. "Uh oh", Brick muttered. Black star started throwing fire balls at us. One hit Brick in the chest making him fly backwards into a building. I quickly began dodging fireballs and started to throw some of my own at her. Black star flew up into the air and was dodging my attacks. Boomer flew up next to me and started throwing ice shards at black star. Black star quickly dodged the ice and flew at Boomer. "Boomer watch out!", I yelled. Miyako quickly flew up and pushed Boomer out of the way. Black star flew past Miyako and Boomer then angrily turned around and stared at Miyako. "Now your the one I want!", Black star said. "What do you want with her?", Boomer yelled. "I'm sorry but that's personal", Black star said as she shrugged nonchalantly. Suddenly Butch flew past us and slammed into the ground. I looked up to see Kaoru fighting with Nebula. Brick quickly flew up to help Kaoru. "I will end you all!", Black star yelled. "I won't let you!", I yelled as I flew at Black star. I quickly landed a punch on her face and she quickly pushed me away and tried to fly away but I grabbed her ankle and was about to pull her down to me. Suddenly someone slammed into me making me let go of Black stars ankle. We both flew down and slammed into the ground hard. "Ugh", brick groaned as we hit the ground. Nebula must of thrown him into me. I looked to my left to see Butch lying face down on the sidewalk. "Butch!", I yelled but he didn't answer. I quickly pushed Brick off me and crawled over to Butch. "Capturing bubbles!", Miyako yelled as she swung her bubble wand. "Butch!", I yelled as I quickly rolled him over. His lip was a little bloody and he had a small cut on his forehead that was bleeding. He didn't look hurt to bad but he must of hit his head when he hit the ground. "Butch man wake up!", brick yelled as he crawled over to us. I looked back up to see a bubble had captured nebula. "Yes one to go!", I said as I flew up next to my friends who was fighting with black star. Kaoru started throwing lightning bolts at black star but she kept dodging them. "Alright sparky let's play", black star said as she pulled a ball off her utility belt. What is that? Suddenly she pressed the button and threw it at Kaoru. The thing exploded and rubber ropes flew out of it wrapping around Kaoru making her fall. "Nooo!", Butch yelled as he flew up and caught Kaoru. Brick must of gotten him awake somehow. Suddenly she threw another ball at brick just as he was flying up to us. The ropes wrapped around him making him fall back to the ground. Butch quickly set Kaoru down and flew back up to us. "Wind!", Butch yelled as he held out his hand at black star. "Fire!", I yelled as I went out a stream of fire into butch's wind so that away it would be more powerful. The wind and flames seems to be going everywhere but black said was fast and was dodging it. "Alright play times over!", black star yelled as she grabbed another ball off her utility belt. Black star pushed a button and threw it at us. The ball started beeping. Us four looked at each realizing she just threw a bomb. But there was no time to run. Suddenly a loud explosion happened just as Miyako yelled, "capturing bubbles". Miyako's bubble captured us before the explosion hit us. "Noooo Miyako!", Boomer yelled. The explosion sent Miyako flying out of the sky and down to the ground. Black star quickly flew after he and grabbed miyako's limp body off the ground. "See you next time", black star said as she smirked and flew off with Miyako. "No no no!", I yelled as I started punching the bubble trying to get free. "Miya!", Boomer yelled in horror. "Black star get back here!", Butch yelled angrily as he kept punching the bubble. "You! This is all your fault!", Boomer yelled as he tackled Butch. "What the?", Butch said as they both fell. Boomer had his fist pulled back to hit Butch but I quickly slammed into Boomer knocking him over. "Boomer stop!", I yelled. "She took Miya! She's gone! All because you wanted her to be bait!", Boomer yelled at Butch. Then something happened that I never thought I'd see again. Butch eyes started watering. "I'm so sorry Boomer. I swear on my life we will get her back!", Butch said. Boomer burst into tears as he covered his face. "I was supposed to protect her!", Boomer sobbed. My heart felt like it had just been ripped out of my chest and thrown to the ground and stomped on. Where would she of taken Miyako? What does she want with her?
