Chapter Three, Playing Frisbee

~Kaoru's P.O.V~

"Hey! Matsubara get your head out of the clouds!", Ashley said as she pulled me towards her. Just as she did a frisbee flew past my face. If Ashley wouldn't of pulled me out of the way that frisbee would of hit me. "Sorry babe! My bad", butch said as he lightly smiled. "Are you okay?", Ashley asked as she looked at me with a concerned look. "Yeah I'm fine.. I'm just really tired.. I didn't get much sleep last night", I said. "You was up late studying huh?", Ashley asked. "Yeah.. I think I only slept for three hours", I said. "That's not healthy you know", Alex said as he picked up the frisbee and threw it back to butch. Alex had light blue eyes and dark brown hair. He wore a grey t-shirt and a pair of jeans and black converse. Alex was a little bit taller than me but he is about the same height as butch. "I know. Ill get a full nights rest tonight", I said. "Butch why aren't you tired to? Didn't you stay up late studying to?", Ashley asked. "I went to bed a few hours before kaoru did", butch said as he threw the frisbee back to Alex. "So you ditched your girlfriend during a study date to sleep?", Alex asked. "It wasn't a study date! She could of came to bed with me but noooo she had to study more", butch said. "So if it wasn't a study date what was it?", Alex asked. "I don't know.. Kaoru made it clear that it wasn't a study date though. She told me I wasn't aloud to hug her or even hold her hand because she didn't want to get distracted", butch said. "Well I didn't want to get distracted by your 'charms'", I said as I made air quotes when I said charms. "Hey! Don't diss on my charms!", butch said as he smirked. I smiled as I rolled my eyes at him. "Well now I wouldn't want to do that", I said as I smirked. "Your just mad that you can't resist my charms!", butch said as he smirked. "Oh yeah right", I said as I smiled and rolled my eyes. "C'mon I'm a great charmer and you know it", butch said. "I don't know about that", I said teasingly. "See that girl over there? I'm such a great charmer I bet I could get her phone number in less than five minutes", butch said as he nodded his head in the direction of a woman across the quad. "You dummy! There is no possible way for you to get that girls number!", I said. "Wanna bet?!", butch challenged. "Butch as much as I'd love to see you go over there and make an ass out of yourself for my own amusement. I can't let you do that", I said. "Afraid of competition?", butch asked as he smirked. "No you idiot. Do you even know who that girl is?", I asked. "Uh no?", butch said. "That's professor Giles' wife", I said. "What?! But he is old and she is like our age!", butch said in shock. "Giles isn't that old! And she is a few years older than us!", I said. "Yeah, Giles is in his late thirties or even early forties", Ashley said. "But the age difference is huge!", butch said. "Only twenty years max", Ashley said. "That's weird", butch said. "Oh C'mon butch.. Age is just a number. It's the love between the two people that matters the most", I said. "I know but--", butch started to say. "Take us for example. We're not really the same age er well you haven't been alive as long as I have. You was created when I was thirteen so you've only been alive for eight years", I said. "Wow... Only eight years. It seems longer than that", butch said. "It's harder to believe that we've been together for four years now", I said. "You're not tired of him yet?", Alex joked. "She could never get tired of me! Like I said before I'm a great charmer. I charm her every day", butch said. "Alright stop talking about this before you end up saying some thing embarrassing about one of us", I said as Alex threw the frisbee to butch. Butch reached up to catch the frisbee but missed it because it was to fast. "Shit!", butch muttered as he turned around. "Shit!", I said as I seen the frisbee flying towards the sidewalk where a man was walking. "Hey Giles look out!", Ashley called. Giles turned to see who had called out to him but just as he did the frisbee hit him in the forehead. "Ugh!", Giles groaned as he rubbed his forehead and looked down that the frisbee that was now one the ground. My group of friends and I quickly ran over to Giles. Giles has black hair that was going grey. He had dark blue eyes and wore glasses. He wore a nice grey suit and shinny black dress shoes. "Professor Giles are you okay?", I asked. "Way to go Alex you gave Giles a concussion!", Ashley said as she slapped Alex's shoulder. "No, I'm okay really", Giles said as he smiled. "I'm really sorry sir", Alex apologized as he picked up his frisbee. "Your not gonna fail us because of this right?", Ashley asked. "No! Of course not", Giles said. "Oh good. The last thing I need to do is fail because my idiot boyfriend hit my professor with a frisbee!", Ashley said. "You'd still love me", Alex said as he smirked and nudged Ashley's arm with his elbow. "Yeah.. I would", Ashley said as she smiled. "Good", Alex said as he smiled playfully and lightly bumped Ashley on the head with the frisbee. "Hey!", Ashley said as she smiled and swatted the frisbee away. "So was you leaving campus?", I asked. "Yes, I was heading home for the day", Giles said. "Oh", butch said. "I'm surprised to see you four still on campus after school hours", Giles said. "We wanted to play some frisbee and well this was the only open spot we could play in", butch said. "There is a park a few blocks from here", Giles said. "It's quieter here", butch said. "Ahhh I see. No crazed fans here huh?", Giles asked. "Well that to", butch said. "I bet you guys always get recognized every where you go huh? Since your famous sports players and members of the power puff girls z and rowdy ruff boys z", Giles said. "We get recognized more for being the ppgz and rrbz", I said. "Well I think you guys do a great job when playing sports. You definitely make this school proud", Giles said. "We try our best", butch said as he smiled. "Ha! Yeah right! You two play so effortlessly!", Alex said. "You guys play good too!", butch said. "C'mon alex, were great at sports too. Other players look up to us", Ashley said as she smirked. I smiled at Ashley's cockiness. Ashley is good at sports. She is very impressive when it comes to sports. She is very strong willed when it comes to sports competitions. I think this is why we are such great friends. It's crazy how similar we act some times. Butch and Alex are very similar as well but I think Alex is more laid back than butch. He doesn't tease people as much as butch does. Alex loves to tease me or Ashley but he usually stops after a while but butch on the other hand, he can tease us all day and not get tired of it. I don't mind it because then I get to tease butch back and it's funny watching him get frustrated some times. It's even funnier when Ashley and I team up against butch. Butch gets so frustrated because he always runs out of comebacks against us. I think it's kinda cute seeing him like that. I'd sure as hell never tell him that because I'd be so embarrassed. "So did you get our exams graded yet?", butch asked. "Well I have been rather busy lately", Giles said. "Ahh with your wife?", butch asked as he smirked. "Butch!", I said through clenched teeth as I slapped his shoulder with the back of my hand. "What?", butch asked as he lightly laughed. "You can't ask our professor stuff like that!", I said sternly. "I was just kidding", butch said as he was still laughing. "It's alright ms. Matsubara. I here jokes like this all the time from other students", Giles said. "They joke about your age difference... I wasn't referring to that at all sir.. I was referring to--", butch started to say. "Shush!!", I said as I gripped onto butch's arm. "I'm going to shut up now.. If I don't I'm going to be busy later and not in the good way! Ill be hearing kaoru nagging me about today!", butch said as he smirked. I smiled and rolled my eyes at butch. "You two act like a married couple", Alex said as he smirked. "They sure as hell bicker like a married couple", Ashley said as she also smirked. "We're obviously practicing for the future", butch said. "Oh no I'm going to be stuck with you forever!", I said as I lightly elbowed butch's side. "Stuck like glue", butch said as he wrapped his arm around my shoulder. "I'm happy for the both of you. Finding love so young is a wonderful thing", Giles said. "Just finding love at all is a wonderful thing", butch said. "There you are Anthony! I've been looking for you", a voice said. We all looked to see Giles' wife walking towards us. "I will see the four of you in class tomorrow. I hope every one is on time and prepared to learn", Giles said as he smiled politely. "Bye professor Giles", we all said as we watched Giles and his wife walk away from us. "I can't believe you hit him in the head!", Ashley said as she looked at Alex. "Well if butch would of caught the frisbee it wouldn't of hit him", Alex said. "Hey now you threw it to fast", butch said as he smiled. "Or maybe you wasn't fast enough", I said teasing butch. "Hey", butch said as he reached out and shocked my arm with his finger. "Ow!", I said as I jerked my arm away. Butch burst into laughter along with Ashley and Alex. "Oh yeah!", I said as I reached out and shocked butch's arm. "Ow! Hey!", butch said as he pulled away and laughed. During our senior year in high school professor utonium had given us special powers. Butch and I received electrical and wind powers. Miyako and boomer had received ice and water powers. Momoko and brick had received fire and lava powers. We could use our powers when we was transformed and only when we gave the command but as we aged the effect of our powers had changed. We could use our powers with out giving the command out loud and we didn't have to be transformed into our alter egos to do it. However we can only use our normal power puff girl and rowdy ruff boy powers when we are transformed. Which sucks because I'd love to fly without being transformed into buttercup. Don't get me wrong! I love being a power puff girl but I really hate the skirt I have to wear! "Truce?", butch asked. "Alright", I said as I let my hand fall back down to my side. "Good", butch said as he smiled lovingly. Hmm... Something doesn't seem right. Just as I had thought that butch leaned down and kissed my cheek. Just as I started to blush and swat him away he poked my arm again shocking me and then quickly ran away from me. "Ow! Hey get back here!", I called as I quickly began to chase after him. Butch is such an idiot but he is my idiot.. I love him even when he acts like this.
