Grover was worried.

Percy hadn't come out of his cabin in weeks, only to try and talk to Jason. But he could tell by the strong feelings he was getting that it hadn't gone so well.

And now Percy was out of the cabin, which scared Grover more than anything. His best friend might be trying to kill him self, he had felt the emotions.

But what really scared him was the fact that he couldn't feel anything. Grover knew his best friend enough k know that Percy was in one place he didn't think anyone would be able to go.

The water.

Grover sprinted out of the cabin, the sun shining down on him feeling like a mock. He didn't care about Annabeth Chase who was running after him.

"Where's Percy?" She asked.

Grover pointed to the water. "He's out there. I talked to his dad and he's not there, which means he got worse. Whatever Grace did caused this, and I can't let Percy die,"

"Grover, if Posiedon hasn't found him then what are you going to do? You'll die if you go all the way down,"

"I abandoned him once, I can't do it again,"

Grover dove into the water, the cold consuming him. He swam out as far as he could, the sea getting darker and darker under him.

The shore was far away, but he could tell Percy wouldn't have gone too far if he needed to escape from his dad.

Grover took a gulp of fresh air before diving down under the water. It got darker and darker as he went, and his eyes burnt.

His throat stung in pain and his brain begged him to swim up. No. He couldn't fail now, he couldn't abandon Percy again.

His best friend needed him, and he was going to be there.

The oxygen was running out quicker and quicker, and his head was pounding as his heart sped up. It was harder and harder to keep his eyes open, but he needed to go.

That's when he finally saw Percy. The son of Poseidon was sinking to the bottom, a red stream of blood coming from his chest.

The water wasn't healing him. And the only way it wouldn't heal him is if Percy truly wanted to die.

Grover tried to pull his best friend up, but Percy was heavy, trapped by rocks, and it was getting harder to remain.

Grover was deep under water, everything hurting. The only thing keeping him there was his worry for Percy and the extra strength he had stored up do to science.

But even that was running out. Grover opened his mouth and let water in, breathing out bubbles as he prayed.

"Lord Poseidon. Please help me save your son. Bring us to the surface, or at least, bring him to the surface,"

Percy might not care if he died, but Grover needed his best friend to stay alive. A flash of blue surrounded them and they appeared at the beach of camp, soaking wet.

"Annabeth, get him to the hospital," Grover said hoarsely before he passed out onto Percy
