Chaeyoung was throwing the 6th outfit away not satisfied with her look. She rummaged around and even started thinking about running away when she tossed herself on her bed, sighing deeply.
It wasn't so hard before, actually it was one of the things she never really cared about so much; she was beautiful and felt great most of the time, yes there were times of sadness and she could cry a bit, but more often than not she was sure about herself and the way other people see her.
She knew perfectly why she was so frustrated; she wanted to show Jennie her real self on their first date, but whatever she looked at felt like stranger's touch: uncomfortable.
The whole term 'the first date' didn't fit them so much that it was suffocating. They were much closer, they probably knew more about each other than a regular not-so-close member of a family would.
Chaeyoung heard a soft knocking on her door.
"Come in, Mom."
Mrs. Park entered the room with a small smile which her daughter sure had inherited. She sat down on the edge of the bed and looked closely at her daughter. Rosie turned into such a beautiful young lady, soft-spoken, calm always thinks twice and if she ever breaks rules it's only because they were too old and inconvenient for the situation.
Mrs. Park also felt that there was a change her daughter had experienced, her eyes glimmer, and though her aura felt so calm she seemed so sad these days. Why?
"Is it about your date?" She asked Chaeyoung while laying down beside her and looked at the ceiling.
Chae shook her head.
"Tell me, how you're feeling?"
Rosie brought a hand to her mother's and intertwined them as they always do.
"A tidbit lost." Rosie frowned and bit her lip. "Also, it is about the date but not only it," she trailed off.
"How about your friend?"
Chaeyoung told her mother that she cared so much about Lisa, but the latter had to go. She doesn't know will she come back or not. She just,
hoped.
A sigh.
"It was so great with her," Chae felt her tears brimming, "I was protected."
Mrs. Park glanced at her daughter face and smiled gently rubbing her hand.
She let her daughter calm down and voice out her trouble."I'm so happy with Jennie, sometimes I feel guilty when I don't think about Lisa all the time and it's just Jennie," Chae wanted to formulate it clearer,
"I mean, both are extremely important to me," just like Jisoo and Joy, she added in her mind, "yet they make me feel so different, Lisa has this protective personality and she's cheerful and such a kind person. While Jennie has this strong intimidating aura and she is calm like an ocean."
Rosie tried to explain further but her mother slightly cut her off,
"You love both the same way?"
Chaeyoung eyes widened and she chuckled, "it would be a mess if I did," but she thought about it for a moment, "No. I love them perfectly not the same way, just as strong."
"I want to be perfect for Jennie," but does my personality fits hers?
Rosie smiled after she mentioned the brunette.
