Chapter 9

Keefe Sencen-

Keefe hurried into his new Ford Mustang car after opening the door for Foster.
"So where did you ditch Gigantor?"
He nodded after he said the address and began to drive. Once they got to where Sandor was parked, Sophie hopped out of the car unlocked the doors to Sandor's truck and chucked the keys at her poor brother before speed walking back to the car.
"That was fast"
She nodded, "let's go"
He nodded and started driving.
Once they got to the clinic Sophie signed in and headed back to Keefe.
"I can't believe we're not late" she said chuckling.
"It would of been funny, honestly"
She nodded and smiled and leaned into him as they sat peacefully on the couch.
Surprisingly Grady and Edaline hadn't shown up. He was worried but thankful at the same time.
"Sophie Foster" the lady at the front desk called.
"Wish me luck" she whispered to him before following her.

Sophie followed the nurse nervously. Praying the results would be good.
"Hello Elwin"
"How's my favourite patient?"
"I'm ok. Still have the regular headaches though"
He nodded and set to work.

After an hour Elwin finally finished.
"I'll have the results with you in 5 minutes"
She nodded, terrified of what they might be.
A few seconds later her family came in.
"Sophie Elizabeth Foster. I'm proud of what you did to your brother" Jolie praised,
"Jolie. Don't praise her for locking him in his own car" Grady scolded,
"I refuse."
His eyes narrowed at Sophie and Jolie before turning back to Sandor.
"It's ok buddy, but back to training you go"
"Ughhhhh" Sophie moaned.
Keefe was sitting beside her and holding her hand as they waited for Elwin to return.
"He's so slow"
"It's been what 30 seconds?" Keefe asked.
"Feels like 30 years she mumbled,
"I know it really does" he whispered back.
After another minute Elwin came in.
"Sophie, I don't know how to say this but" he paused before continuing,
"It's worse. Much much worse then it ever has been." His voice cracked "you have 3 months at least."
The words broke her. Tears slowly dropped from her beautiful face as she clung to Keefe. He held her close and protectively, seeming like he never wanted to let go. Elwin let the family be, as they cradled Sophie along with Keefe. After a while Elwin came back.
"There is a way to help you. It's expensive and your recovery will be long and harsh. But in the end it would be worth it. But are you willing to do that? You would have to go to Germany for treatment for about 2 weeks and go through 2 weeks of social isolation."
Sophie nodded her head before saying "I'm up for it. As long as we can afford it" she looked to her parents and saw the worried expressions on their faces.
"We can." Keefe spoke up. Sophie kept forgetting that he was crazy rich.
"You don't have to Keefe" she whispered.
"I know Foster. But your worth it" she smiled and collapsed into his warm embrace.
"Thank you for everything"
"I'll notify our workers in Germany and start preparations" Elwin said with confidence.
She nodded.
She didn't have a choice. She had to make it out of this. For her family and Keefe.
