The festivities had taken the Royal family of Matos to the Royal gardens of the Red Keep.
The Matosi guards sneakily testing every food and drink before their Queen or prince eat them, the youngest prince finally awake and the main topic at the table she is seated in, women and men congratulating the Serpent queen to her two undeniably born to be handsome boys. She simply tells them that it is their fathers looks, keeping her sharp gaze on them at all times, not paying attention until a scream rips through the air. The young king collapses to the ground, choking. Hurriedly she pushes her children into the safety of her guards who quickly bring them away as she rushes forwards to where the queen regent has collapsed to her knees next to her eldest son. "Push on his chest. Make him spit it out! He needs to spit it out!!", Medusa calls, turning him to his side and pushing on the boys stomach. "Spit it out, boy!! Come on! Please!" She forces open his mouth and pushes again as he gasps for breath, his eyes getting bloodshot. She doesn't even hear the screams of panic from the lioness as she tries to desperately re-open his airways. "Gods, boy! Please!!" She continues to push on his stomach. "Hold open his mouth! Hold it open!!" Cercei Lannister quickly does as askes, crying tears of pure terror. Medusa Meer pushes with all her might and vomit leaves the boys mouth along with blood. He coughs, taking raspy breaths. "His cup! Give me his cup and bring him water!" Medusa sniffs the goblet, before throwing it away from her. Horror in her eyes. She washes out his mouth with clean water, trying to keep him awake as blood runs from the boys nose, staining her dress. "What happened?" "He was poisoned! If it is the poison I believe it to be it feeds on skin and muscle tissue, causes extreme swelling. We need to get all traces out or it will desintegrate him from the inside!", she hisses, making the boy spit out the water as more and more blood leaves his nose and eyes. "Don't you dare give up, boy!", she hisses, continuing to try and clean and the poison out of his system as his hand clutches hers with what is left of his strength, holding her back from continuing. He chokes one last time before his head falls back. The serpent queen takes a shaky breath, closing his eyes as hers water. As the kingsguard grabs Tyrion Lannister who handed the young king his cup with wine Cerceis gaze turns to the Matosi Queen whose hand her dead sons fingers clutch onto. "Why did you try to save him?", she breathes. Green eyes look back up into hers. "This is what I always feared would happen to my children if they were exposed to the world outside Matos.. No mother should lose her child. No mother should have to watch them die and survive it herself. I would rather be dead than see them hurt.", Medusa whispers, slowly pulling her hands from the already cooling grasp. "I need to go make sure they are alright.. They are not save here. We will return to Matos. If you care anything about my opinion, my advice to you, Queen mother, is to not let your children out of your eye. Do not let people you would not trust with your own life close to them. It is the mothers duty to protect her children from their first breath to her own last breath. Do not let this happen to your daughter and son.", Medusa rises to her feet. Cercei Lannister looks at her, her eyes red and swollen from the tears. "I will."

Riding through the city to her ship she spots her sobbing, terrified older son and hears the screams of her younger son, as well as Oberyn Martell standing close to the ship. She flies past him, hurriedly cleaning her hands well with water and liqor before scooping up her crying children, consoling both of them with kisses, holding them tightly in her arms. "Mommy don't leave me again!" Hearing her sons words breaks her heart, holding him tightly she nods. "I won't, I promise. Let us go home, my little snake", she whispers, kissing his teary face. Looking towards her men she raises her voice. "Pull up anchor! Westeros is not safe. We should have never come.. I need to know my children to be protected." She looks towards the port where the Prince of Dorne still stands, having heard every word she had said. Getting up she carries both her children clinging to her as if their lives depended on it with her. "We will not leave Matos again! And no one who is uninvited or not one of our own will set foot on it. And if I have to take the head off of every single person daring to try myself! They call me cruel? Let us show them just how cruel I can be."

The ships set sail and the womans beautiful silhoutette disappears underneath deck, the calls of the men filling the port, before ghostly silence settles on the waters surface. Oberyn Martell looks after the ships. His thoughts travel to his own daughters. Gods, he hoped they were as fiercely protected as the Matosi princes.

Settling her children down in her bed she quickly changes out of her blood stained dress, cradling the two boys to her chest. She takes a deep breath. Before softly raising her voice.

"Those times in life we learn to try, with one intention
Of learning how and when we'll die, but we can't listen
I wish to God I'd known that I, I didn't stand a chance
Of looking back and knowing why, or pain of circumstance

You're not alone
We'll brave this storm

So here's my song I wrote in time, when it was needed
Through pain of heart or loss of mind, your burdens lifted
You aren't alone just know that I
Can't save our hearts tonight

You're not alone
We'll brave this storm
Let's face today
You're not alone

You're not alone
We'll brave this storm
Let's face today
You're not alone

You're not alone
We'll brave this storm
Let's face today..."

And slowly but surely her two precious little boys fall asleep and she can only hope that maybe in due time they would forget the terror. They were so small after all. The chances were good that they would.
