Chapter 43 || The Future we'll build together..

Ramdam ng dalaga ang hangin sa kanyang mukha habang nakatitig sa lapida ng kanyang yumaong ama. Pagkatapos nilang bisitahin si Andrew sa presinto, dumeretso sila sa sementeryo kung saan nakalibing ang ama.

"I forgave him, pa. Just like what you wanted me to do."

She smiled knowing that her father must be smiling widely at her right now. It's one of her father's wishes. For her to forgive those who hurted her and almost ruined her life. Of course, the scar will never fade but atleast, her heavy heart felt a little bit at ease.

Her mother apologized to her earlier before she and Xander leave to visit the jail and she forgave her. She knew her mother never meant for all of this to happen. Leah said to her that if she wanted to take a different course in college, she can change it.

Alex refused to change the course she's going to take as she really wants to make her mother proud and happy by making her dream come true. Plus, she's really into what the course was all about.

"Alex, tara na. Pinapauwi na tayo ni Mama. We still have fitting for the grad ball bukas.", ani ng kapatid niyang si Xander. Tumayo si Alex at tinignan ng panandalian ang lapida ng ama bago sundan ang kapatid sa sasakyan.

While waiting for the stylists to arrive at their house, Alex went through her notebooks when she was younger and noticed the names that was repeatedly written on the top of every page.

A wide smile appeared on her face as she stare at the names. It's the names that her younger self wanted to name to her future kids. She used to rant about having to wait for a really long time to have kids and family of her own.

Seeing those written names again, she mentally promised herself that her future kids will never have to go through such a family problem. She will make sure that her kids will love, protect, and support each other just like what she and Xander do. Hindi niya hahayaang lumaki ng kulang sa pagmamahal ang mga magiging anak niya.

That desire to be a great mother in the future came back to her after loosing it because of her past experience with Kenji. Maybe it's because of what her family have experienced or someone else. Maybe that someone else is Clark.

She got pulled out of her own thoughts when she heard Xander speaking. "Ganyan mo ba talaga ako kamahal para ibagay mo sa pangalan ko yung pangalan nung isa?", ani ng kapatid at tumawa ng mahina. Inirapan niya ito at nagsalita, "Shut up, kuya. Huwag kang feelingero.", pabirong sabi niya.

Totoo naman ang sinabi ng kanyang kapatid. Sa pangalan nga ng kuya niya galing ang unang letra ng pangalan na iyon at sa kaniya naman galing ang unang letra ng isa pang pangalan na nakasulat.

"I think Clark would love those names", Xander commented. She looked at him before sighing and closing the notebook.

The older sibling noticed the sudden mood change of the younger. "What's wrong?", he asked her.

"Hindi pa rin niya ako kinakausap.", sagot naman ng nakababata. He gave her a small smile and put his arm around her shoulders. "He can't go and talk to you because he blames himself for what happened to your father.", Xander explained the reason.

"But it's not his fault.", Alex said with her worried eyes. He sighed and stood up. "I know, that's why you should talk to him. Give him the assurance he needs, Alex. I know you love him so go and make him feel that you still love him no matter what.", he said and gave her a little pat on the head just like what he used to do.
