The sweet smell of cotton candy wafted in the air. The hiss of the roller coaster accompanied by the screams of joy or fear could be heard over the blaring music. Everything here looks bright, colorful. The amusement park generally gave off an electrifying atmosphere.

'Lets go somewhere for lunch!' I suggested and Terry nodded. Yvan was not with us. Earlier when Terry was checking in to the hotel, one of his friends called him to ask for his help on something. He sheepishly told us that he needed to go. Terry seemed to be in a really good mood after that, telling Yvan that he should go help his friend in need.

We approached some restaurant and ordered ourselves some pasta. The two of us were happily chatting away when the waitress came in with two steaming hot plates of pasta. Ravished, the two of us began digging in.

'What do you call fake noodles?' Terry asked, giving me a goofy grin.

'Oh no...not another one of your lame jokes again,' I grumbled, taking in another fork full of the delicious food.

'Impasta!' He said and he burst out laughing. I stared at him, completely unamused.

'I wanna go play the carnival games and maybe win a stuff toy or two,' I said, finally.

'You haven't changed one bit, Hen. Do you still like teddy bears?' Terry chuckled.

'Of course! You know...Last year, Yvan gave me this huge teddy bear for my birthday. Its brown and fluffy and really cute. I hug it to sleep every now and then,' I replied cheerfully.

Terry's expression darken at the mention of Yvan. 'I can get you a bigger one next time. You should have seen the size of the teddy bears at San Francisco,' he said, his tone carrying a tinge of jealousy.

'Its okay. One huge bear is enough and sides, the one he gave me is special,' I smiled as I remembered how Yvan used the bear to confess to me on my birthday. 'I....I like you,' he had said at that time, his cheeks burning red. 'Will..will you be my girlfriend?' He had asked shyly as he held the adorable teddy  bear in front of me.

Clang the sound of glass breaking resounded, breaking my train of thoughts with it. Terry's glass of coke has fallen to the floor. A waitress was already skillfully wiping the mess he made. 'Sorry,' Terry apologised to the waitress and she simply smiled politely. 'No big deal,' she said before getting up to leave.

'Can we not talk about Yvan? Just hearing his name makes my blood boil. Why must he take my precious sister away from me?' Terry raged.

'He is not taking me away from you. We can still visit each other after Yvan and I marry,' I snapped.

'Marry? But Hen...you haven't even graduated from university! You don't know what will happen in the future! What if he cheats on you? What if he...,' Terry shot back, resuming the position of my overprotective older brother.

'He won't!' I retorted, cutting off. 'I just know he won't.' I added firmly, my voice not wavering at the least. Yvan would never cheat on me, or break up. He loves me and I love him and that is that.

'You're blinded by love Henrietta. I'll be happy to kick his ass when he dumps you,' Terry mumbled and I glare at him.

'Whatever...he won't do that. Anyway have you finished eating?' I asked, trying to change the subject. Terry nodded and his expression softened.

'Come on...lets go win your teddy bear,' he grinned as the two of us left the shop.

The two of us ended up at the carnival section. Music was blaring from every direction. Children were shouting in glee when they won themselves something. Just then, two brown teddy bears caught my eye. Both of them had curly fur and one of them looked slightly shorter than the other. They looked adorable.
