'I'm back!' I announced before entering through the main door. Wilson stared in awe as he looked around at the Willow Complex. That kind of reaction is pretty normal for newcomers. The polished timber wood floor and the unbelievably high ceiling coupled with the soft orange light filling the passage way is quite a sight.

'Awesome! And this is my new home for the next two years?' Wilson asked in disbelief.

'Yeap! Its pretty cool right? Wait till you see your room and the dinning hall,' I nodded. However, his attention was not on me anymore. Instead, he was advancing towards Henrietta who was heading to the dinning hall.

'When there is a fire, you call 995. When there is a robbery, you call 999. When you are tired or lonely at night, call: 98456789,' he said as he positioned himself between the door and her.

Shocked, Henrietta stared at him saucer-eyed. What number was the last one anyway?

He fished out a piece of paper from his pocket and place it into Henrietta's open palm. 'Yeap, that's my number, babe. Call me whenever you feel like it and I'll come running to you,' he said with a sexy smile on his face.

'You try make a move on my girl and people will find your dead body floating in the canal the next day,' Yvan warned before Henrietta could say anything. He put a possessive arm around her and gave Wilson the death stare. I chuckled....serves him rights for trying cheesy pick up line on any girl he sees. Henrietta looked around helplessly as her boyfriend and Wilson glowered at each other.

Suddenly,Wilson broke into a huge smile.  Yvan narrowed his eyes and wondered what Wilson was playing at.

'Whoa...Chillax bro! Its not my fault if your girl finds me more appealing than you!' He shrugged his shoulders nonchalantly, like as if he didn't just fling an insult at Yvan.

'What did you say?' Yvan seethed, balling his fist.

'Calm down Yvan! You will get yourself a one way ticket back home if you fight!' Jeremy shouted as he grabbed both of Yvan's hands and dragged him away from Wilson.

'I don't care! Lemme have a go at that bastard,' Yvan yelled as he struggled from Jeremy's grasp. Jeremy was no push-over, shrugging off his attempts to escape his grasp like as if they were nothing.

'Just let it go,' Jeremy persuaded. 'Its not like she'll actually fall for him, right?'

'Well he is hot,' Henrietta replied with a wicked grin on her face.

'You can't be serious Hen...,' Yvan grumbled as he stopped struggling. Jeremy released him.

'I'm serious... but I still love you more piggy,' she said and hugged him. It is amazing what a hug can do to one. The scrawl on his face was replaced with a look of contempt and his anger subsided.

'Ah damn...did I miss a fight? I heard Yvan yelling,' Charlotte appeared from behind Jeremy.

'You just missed an epic battle between a douche bag and a pig. But sadly, the battle ended with peacemaker Jeremy using Henrietta as a treaty,' I giggled, making Charlotte smile.

'But who is the douche bag?' She asked curiously.

'That would be a rather rude name for me, beautiful,' Wilson answered before I could. 'They say that the more of something you get, the more you'll be sick of that something. Like for example, the more you eat the same food, the more you're sick of it. The more money you spend, the more your wallet bleeds. However, the more I look at you, the more I find you lovable.'

'Wha...what?' Charlotte stammered. Blood rose to her cheeks, painting them scarlet.  'I....I need to make a call to...to my editor...see...see you soon...,' she stuttered before bolting down the hall and rushing back to her room, slamming the door in the process.

'See? Pick up lines like those do work,' he said, giving me a triumphant smile. 'But what did she mean by having to make a call to her editor?'

'Oh... Charlotte is an author. So far, she has written about six books, two of them being international best-sellers,' I replied. Wilson's eyes lit with recognition. Looks like even an arrogant bastard like him knows of Charlotte. 'Oh that is Joe over there. He is gay," I continued as I spotted Joe making his way towards us.

'I was wondering why was it so noisy... Oh is that the new guy? Looking hot there dude,' Joe drawled as he winked at Wilson. Wilson stared back at him in disgust.

"Man love!" Jeremy blurted out and everyone burst out laughing.

'What? Man love? Oh my god...don't tell me he is falling for me! Beauty is indeed a sin...,' Wilson panicked and I snorted.

'Dude...its this joke we have...Joe and Jeremy loves to act gay with each other for fun,' I explained.

'I see..so he isn't really gay?' Wilson asked, the look of relief evident on his face.

'Oh no... I'm totally gay... I love you,Jeremy darling,' Joe replied and he threw himself at Jeremy, engulfing him in a bear hug. All of us doubled over in laughter as Jeremy tried to shrug Joe off. Wilson could only manage to stare at all of us with bewilderment written all over his face.

'Just kidding. I'm straight,' Joe chuckled, releasing his grip on Jeremy. Wilson heaved a sigh of relief.

'Yeap...as straight as a crooked wire that is,' I added and all of us burst out in another round of laughter.

'Noooo! I'm totally straight....,' Joe protested.

'Hell no you are not!' Jeremy argued.

'Put your hands in the air if you agree with Jeremy!' Henrietta suggested. With that, everyone except for Joe raised their hands and started laughing again. Joe tried to pull Jeremy's hand down and the two of them engaged themselves in a mock battle while Henrietta and Yvan watched.

'Anyway, there is one more resident here who you should meet. His name is Zane.' I said to Wilson, beckoning him to follow me. With that, the two of us left, leaving Joe and the rest to their own devices.
