I watched as the trees swayed to the rhythm of the gentle autumn breeze. Crisp copper leaves rained down on the ground, blanketing the once grey path with shades of brown and red. I closed my eyes and inhaled deeply, taking in the fresh scent of clean air and the faint sweet smell of cinnamon. The cool autumn breeze swept all the heat away from the merciless sun beating down on me. In a distance, the clickity clack sound of the wheels and the hiss of the brakes could be heard. I sighed as I checked my watch. Another five minutes before the new guy arrives. I made my way towards the train station, wrestling through the busy crowd and making my way towards one of the benches offered on the platform.

Taking a sip from the can of coke I bought earlier, I watched as people poured out from the train cabin. Damn how much I hated taking a train ride. The cabin itself was usually packed like sardines and there was barely any space to stand in. I loathed the feeling of pressing against others and not being able to move freely. Whats worse is the horrible smell of body sweat assaulting my nostrils and the tightness in my chest making it even harder to breathe. Fortunately I was only here to fetch someone, not ride a train.

"Hey girl, do you want a raisin?" someone asked, breaking my train of thoughts. I put down my can and looked up at the owner of the voice. His dark black eyes were staring back at me, his lips curled into a smile. There was something familiar about that smile. I was certain I saw it before.

"No?" he asked again, still smiling. It was only then when it hit me that I have not answered his question.

"Nope, I'm not really fond of raisins anyway. But thanks for the offer," I replied as I smiled back politely at him.

"Then how about a date?" he asked, his grin growing wider.

Shocked, I stared at him wide-eyed. Is this some kind of joke? And sides, who uses this type of crappy pick-up lines anymore anyway? He laughed at my reaction, and produced a big red date from his backpack.

"Here," he chuckled as he tossed the date in my direction. Instinctively, I reached out to catch it mid-air. "Anyway, can you give me directions to the Willow complex? I don't really understand the map given to me."

And suddenly, everything made sense. His smile was familiar only because I saw it a few hours ago...in a photograph. This guy must be Wilson.

'Guess not...never mind...I'll ask someone else for directions. Thanks anyway,' he murmured as he turned away.

'Wait! Wait! Dude sorry I was too stunned by your crappy pick-up line that I couldn't answer your question. I'm Mira and I am from the Willow Complex. I'm actually here to fetch you,' I shouted hurriedly as I chased after him.

'What crappy pick up line? It was effective...you were so stunned by its awesomeness that you were rendered speechless weren't you?' He flashed a cocky grin. 'Oh and I'm Wilson by the way.'

'In your dreams. I was rendered speechless by its cheesiness,' I shot back.

'You are probably already in love with me aren't you?' He smirked, completely ignoring me.

'I'll kill you,' I clenched my fist and glowered at him. This guy is annoying. His smile radiates so much arrogance that I wanted to wipe it off his overly handsome face. He put both hands in the air in a 'i surrender' sign' and wagged his index finger at me. 'Whoa whoa easy there girl! The whole world would be sad if you smashed my charming face.'

I sucked in a deep breath as I unclenched my fist. I give up. A stuck-up idiot like him is not even worth talking to. 'Follow me...,' I sighed.

With that, I trudged back to the Willow Complex with Wilson following closely behind.
