city of the night (3)

and so for one more, just one more time
i allow myself to get lost into the night sky
the city illuminating the lone stars
the artificiality of the star-like city lights
merging into the night sky
but then again, it still works, does it not?
it is beautiful nonetheless

and so for one more, just one more time
i melt into the entrancing, melt of the sea
enveloping me into calmness, into ease
pulling me into security
as the bridges paint the sea hues of
red, blue and yellow
the artist gets to work, and paints
images, thoughts, emotions, and feelings
within me

and so for one more, just one more time
i gaze into you
and these qualities of the city of the night
that you seemingly manifest within you
and so when i gaze into the non-living
you breathe life into these seemingly
artificial, lifeless, baseless thoughts of mine

and so i hope
for one more time
and for one more time after that
and more, you allow me to.
