This chapter is dedicated to iheartbooks17xx. I really recommend you check it her story "Summer Eighteen" I've read it so far and I think it's going to be a really great story. So after this give it a look. :)
I'm sorry it took so long for me to update. I was really excited about this one, just unsure how EXACTLY I wanted it to go. But here it is. :) Enjoy!

Vincent walked with me to math class, only this time he stopped at the door. Today was the day we would meet our new math teacher.
The bell rang and all the students rushed in so as to not be late. We all watched the door carefully, waiting for her to walk in. Finally, we heard the clacking of heels down the hall and soon she had walked in the door. I could see why Vincent seemed so nervous about her. She was young looking but she certainly didn't look nice. She had piercing hazel eyes and her chestnut-brown hair was curled tightly and held back with a chain link headband. Her eyebrows were arched sharply and her thin, red lips were pursed.
"I am Ms. Paisley," she introduced herself, her voice was sharp and clear. "I will be taking over now as your math from today forward."
She continued by explaining to us what her expectations were. If we do not understand, we are to say so. If we were late, don't even bother coming in. When we are called on to answer a question, we will be graded. No writing in pen. No cursive writing. No other class work, even if we finish an assignment early and have "free time". There is no such thing as "free time."
She went on and on before asking if we had any questions. The room was completely silent, then one boy raised his hand.
"Yes, Justin?" She called on him.
"Yeah...can we have Mr. Mercer back please," he asked sarcastically.
A few other kids snickered at his "question" the rest of us, myself and Meg included, didn't even dare to smile. Ms. Paisley certainly wasn't amused. Justin received a week of detention and the ones who had laughed got 3 days. Holy crap! This lady was just plain scary, maybe even evil.
Her face remained in a scowl, not even a glimmer of a smile. That was until someone knocked at the door. Apparently, she couldn't be bothered to stop teaching and open it, so without even a glance she called for one of us to get it.
"Arielle, get the door," she demanded, her sharp voice cut through my thoughts like a knife.
Being the end of the day, my pain medicine had worn off and it took a while for me to get up. The person at the door knocked again.
"What's taking so long, Miss Fischer?"
I cringed at the sound of her using my last name and when she said that, Meg stood up abruptly.
"Excuse you!" Meg called her out in my defense. "Arie was in a serious accident recently, you'll have to excuse her if it takes her a minute to get up. She can't help it."
Oh No! Now Meg was pissed off. I thought to myself.
"I do not appreciate the tone you are speaking to me with Miss Adams," Ms. Paisley scorned. "You could have said that WITHOUT an attitude. You may stay along with your other classmates for detention."
By this time, I was already at the door. I opened it to see Vincent and I felt I smile creep onto my lips. And I wasn't the only one.
"Mr. Mercer," Ms. Paisley greeted happily with a smile. "What can we do for you?"
"Ah. Nothing. I just left something in the desk drawer that I need," he said as he made his way to the desk. "May I?" he asked before opening.
Ms. Paisley smiled and gave a nod. "Of course."
