My injuries had finally healed enough for me to go to gym, so after French class, Sean walked with me to the gym. Before actually reaching the gym, he pulled me into an empty hallway.

"Where are we going, Sean," I asked him.

He had taken me by the hand, his palms were sweaty and he seemed anxious. All of a sudden he pulled me into a kiss. It shocked me to say the least. Yeah, Sean was my friend and I liked him, but the kiss was so uncomfortable and unpleasant. There were no sparks like with Vincent. I didn't feel a thing except for... well, just weird. The kiss only lasted a few seconds and in those few seconds Vincent had walked by. I saw the look on his face, he looked furious and hurt. By the time I could push Sean away from me, Vincent had disappeared.

"Wh-why did you do that," I asked Sean, my voice was shaky because I was slightly panicked about Vincent having the wrong idea.

Sean was nervous as he stumbled with his words, "I- I really like you, Arielle," he confessed, which I already knew, I just never expected him to kiss me! "This really didn't go as I had planned," he said with a nervous laugh. "In my mind this was going to be more romantic."

"Well, it's not romantic," I blurted out angrily. "Why would you think that randomly kissing someone, just because you like them would be romantic!"

I was so furious with him! He did something so foolish, and it may have just cost me the person that means the most to me. Soon my anger had faded and was replaced with guilt. He had no idea that I already had someone and he has flirted with me for weeks. Not once did I ever say anything about it. I let out a sigh as I looked at him to apologize.

"Look, Sean, it's not that I DON'T like you, I do. It's just that I don't like you in that way," I explained. "You're my friend, but I don't think I could ever have feelings for you other than that. I- my heart already belongs to somebody and I love him SO much."

Sean looked dejected as I told him that I was in love with someone else. I felt bad for him, but I cant help that that is how I feel.

"Well, whoever it is, he is a lucky guy," he said, forcing a smile.

I smiled too, only mine was a real smile.

"No, I am the lucky one," I said softly with my hand on my chest where the key hung.

Through this, neither of us had noticed that both bells had already rang until we heard Miss Paisley's sharp voice.

"Classes have started, why are you still out in the halls," she interrogated.

"Um...I was walking Arielle to gym and she started hurting so we stopped for a minute," Sean lied unsuccessfully.

"Nice try," she said, "But, I have seen her over the last few weeks and she's fully recovered."

Almost. I still get sore, but I can get around good now.

"Detention," she said. "For you both."

I let out a frustrated sigh. I wanted to go and see Vincent as soon as the final bell rang so that I could clear things up with him, and now it would be even longer!

After gym, I explained things to Meg in math before the second bell.

"He did what!?" She almost shouted.

"Yeah, and Vincent saw it, and then to top it off- Miss Paisley gave us detention! So now I have to wait even longer to explain things to Vincent." I said with a sigh as the second bell rang.
