Luise was woken up by a slight nudge at the right shoulder. She slowly opened her eyes to see Minho holding what seemed to be clothes and a pair of running shoes.

"Rise and shine Goldie, todays the day." He threw the set of clothes in front of her.

Luise rolled her eyes as she stood up from her hammock. She went to some corner and covered it with the cloth she had found to prevent anybody from seeing her.

After she was fully clothed, she went out to see Minho leaning at the wooden pole looking bored as always.

"That was fast, I heard that girls take a lot of time dressing up." He snickered, "Bet you aren't even o-"

"Just shut it, shuckface." Minho chuckled as they both walked towards the kitchen.

"Can't run on an empty stomach right?"

Luise gazed at the now open door of the maze, she felt excited but terrified at the same time. It's been awhile since she's last looked at it, but to think that she'd be going inside the maze is just..., spectacular.

Minho grabbed a few weapons after they had eaten, he showed Luise a set of weapons; a dagger, a machete, a knife.

"Which do you choose?" He asked, examining each blade with fascination.

Luise took her time contemplating on which. The dagger had a sleek black handle with a sharp tip, the machete looked threatening as the blade shone with the morning light, the knife was just plain. For some reason, Luise admired the knife's 'simplicity' It was lightest among the three, but she knew that the knife would come in handy.

"I'll choose the knife."

Minho gave Luise the knife and placed it in the knife pocket Minho gave her.

The two walked towards the main opening; the northern gate. Adrenaline pumped in her veins, this was what she wanted.

She wanted to run.

Luise tied her hair, as she flailed her arms nervously, the maze glowed with a grayish tint adorned by the thick ivy that grew around the walls. Even without being inside the maze, you could feel it's eerie aura that would send chills down your spine.

"What? Chickening out goldie?" Minho stretched as he looked at the maze.

"N-No."

With one last stretch, Minho went into a running stance, something he had developed to run the maze without tiring that much.

"Then let's go!"

They both ran inside the maze, Luise felt it. The adrenaline, the fear, the excitement. A feeling like she had never experienced before.

They were running for thirty minutes, they ran to the left, to the right. It was amazing how Minho knew the path like the back of his hand, Minho deserved to be the keeper of the maze. Luise looked at Minho with admiration at the thought she had.

For some reason, Luise didn't feel tired at all, but she wasn't the only one. Minho looked like he was just jogging around not breaking a sweat.

Minho ran ahead of her, with a fast dash. "Just stick close, and run alright?"

Luise nodded as she followed Minho like she's been doing before.

"Just run like your life depends on it, alright?"

----

The two had taken a break and were now sitting on the ground, Luise felt breathless at the hours they had ran. She munched on her sandwich and drank it all down with the water she packed.

"What'ya think, Goldie?" Minho asked, as he dove into his sandwich. "Did ya klunk your pants?" He insulted with amusement.

"Obviously not, you slint-head." Luise replied as she bit the apple she was holding after eating the sandwich.

"Have you lost people in the maze?" Luise asked, Minho looked at her with an expression which she couldn't explain. An expression with the mix of annoyance of frustration.

"More than your fingers can count." He answered, looking away afterwards. Luise face-palmed herself at how careless she was. Not the best topic to bring out.

"So better stick close, alright." Minho stood up his back facing me.

"Tsk, why do you care?" Luise crossed her arms they way Minho does, looking at Minho with a smirk.

"It's because I care." With that Minho had began to run, leaving Luise behind dumbfounded.

"Hey wait up, don't leave me!" Luise tried to catch up but Minho was nowhere to be seen. She looked around frantically. If this was a joke, she'd kill him. But seconds passed, and those seconds became minutes.

A loud mechanical screech was heard, and as Luise turned around, she could see a metallic leg bob from the wall a few meters away from her.

Luise took a fee silent steps backward, afraid of making a sound that would interest that 'things' attention.

Closing her eyes, Luise thought. Where are you, you jerk?
