(Y/n POV)

Soon, I'm going to surprise Billie. We've been dating for 3 years now, but I haven't seen her for a year so I definitely know she will be excited. I packed enough clothes for a week, but I'm almost 100% sure i'll be staying longer than that. My mom was the only one home at the time so I decided to take her out to breakfast. The waitress took us to our table and gave me a wink. My mom noticed and gave her the meanest glare I've seen. I couldn't help but laugh once the waitress walked away.

Mom: "What's so funny?"

Y/n: "The look that you just gave that girl." I said while breaking into another laugh.

Mom: "I have no idea what you're talking about." I gave her a look and continued laughing. She looked at me like I was crazy which caused her to break into a laughing fit with me.

Waitress: "Hi! I'm Ashlee and I'll be your server today, what can I get started for you ladies?"

Y/n: "Hi yeah, uh I'll have apple juice and chocolate chip pancakes please."

Waitress: "Okay, and for you ma'am-"

Mom: "I'll have coffee and waffles with strawberries on the side, thank you."

Waitress: "All right that will be out shortly."

Mom: "So y/n.. how has Billie been doing?" To be honest, I didn't really know how to answer that question. Billie has been so busy with her singing career that I barely ever get to talk to her. When I do get to talk to her, all she says is she's doing good just a little bit stressed. And honestly, I don't blame her. She writes music and sings for a living, while I'm only a dancer. But, she's strong, and she knows how to manage her stress better.

Y/n: "Uhhh she's good, just a bit stressed, you know?" After I finished that sentence our food was brought out to us.

Mom: "Well her career does sound very stressful.. but she can do it. I know she can." I let out a small chuckle with a nod.

Y/n: "We both know she can."

(Time Skip, You're at the airport with your mom.)

As I was walking through the airport I could feel people staring at me. It was obvious most of them knew who I was. It was just a matter of who would walk up to me first. After a little bit more walking this young girl, (probably 13/14), came up to me and asked for a photo. Of course I took one with her, especially because she was so nice about it. She told me that she wanted to dance when she got older, so I told her my dream. My dream was to continue dancing and even teach younger kids to dance. Maybe one day I'll even get to teach her. We continued talking for a bit, but I realized if we talked any longer I was going to miss my flight. I just made it in time, but I have know idea where Billie is in Cali.

(Time Skip, flights over, you're at Billie's house)

I was finally at Billie's house and waited for her to get home. I sat there for what felt like hours, until I finally heard the door open. I sat in silence for 30 minutes, waiting for her Billie to walk into her room. Suddenly I heard singing. I know this might sound crazy, but believe it or not, i've never heard Billie sing. She sounded like an angel, her voice was so soft and peaceful. I could just sit there for hours listening to her. She played multiple songs and each time she still managed to surprise me with something new. One song surprised me the most, and I'm pretty sure it was called 8. It was so soothing, soft, and gentle. It made me fall in love with her all over again.

*Billie sang the whole song out - you were still mesmerized at how good she sounded*
