Senna

That night, it was cold. Freezing, actually. Senna didn't care; freezing was the perfect temperature to wear clothes made for summer. Her wand was lit, illuminating the space before her with a soft grey light.

She walked down the steps, passing the main courtyard to go straight to the benches; it was quiet, and Senna didn't expect anything to happen. Her eyes flitted from the moon to the spot where the rumored Lunar Temple would show up, waiting for it to do so. To her surprise, there was a soft glow emitting from the area and the temple materialized.

It was made with moonstone, mother-of-pearl, and white marble, creating an ethereal feeling as Senna stepped closer before hearing movement. Quickly ducking back into the shadows, Senna reached out in her mind for any presences. Yes- there was someone here, someone doing something important. Senna reached into her skirt pocket, feeling the pieces of paper rub soothingly against her fingers as she scanned the area again. The sound of moving grass, then silence. Shrugging her shoulders, she made her way quietly towards the lunar temple. A small flash of light in the corner of her eye- no, that was just her imagination...

"What are you doing here? It's like, in the middle of the night." a voice suddenly asked from behind her.

Senna whirled around, jumping away in shock when she saw indigo robes and a cross face staring back at her.
"P-patrol. What are you doing? This could be considered a Number 1 Offense," she said and fumbled around her skirt pocket for her wand. The handle fit perfectly in her hand, and she readied herself for some attacks- she hadn't caught a good glimpse of the student, and not many of them would go quietly. She was so close to the temple...

"Student council members only have to patrol the halls inside. Not out. And also, what is that?" the student retorted. Oh, thank Merlin it was only Ashlyn. She bit her tongue, trying to stop herself from revealing too much information. If Ashlyn was out doing something... but she couldn't, she never saw the clue, and she didn't know about the Lunar Temple.

"It's... special protocol. I need to talk to someone there." she pointed feebly towards the temple before dashing towards, not bothering to look back as she ran. Luckily, the temple wasn't so far and her feet didn't get harmed. Exhaling, Senna glanced upwards and inwards to look at the inside. The doors were opened, letting the cool air seep into the marble halls. Senna's shoes tapped against the floor as she gazed in awe; she'd heard about this place and seen it, but never dared to actually wander out.

"Hello?" she called out uncertainly, pulling out the paper that told her to come there; the full moon let the Lunar Temple show. The words pulsed for a second but stopped; what was wrong? Senna checked the paper again, but it was still the same.

"What by the Moon Goddess are you doing?" Ashlyn had caught up on her, frowning. Turning to reply, Senna froze as the page glowed a soft silver, erasing it's previous words and writing new ones in dark black ink. She moved quickly away from Ashlyn to read what it said, hiding in the shadows and hoping the other girl wouldn't notice. Luckily she didn't, and the paper's words glowed just bright enough for Senna to see.

Now that you've found the one that you need, go ahead and search, it's not hard to read. Start from the hall, turn left and then south, the next scrap of paper is what it's about.

"Nothing! Just... turn away and go back to campus! Student Council business?" Senna called after her as she ran towards the left hall. The panels were filled with beautiful paintings of myths from long ago as well as the cycles of the moon, but none of them looked like they were going to help. She carefully pressed the frame of a painting, hoping it wouldn't fall on top of her or something. Out of her pocket, a scrap of paper fell, but it blew away too quickly for Senna to catch; hopefully it wasn't the one she needed.

She continued along that wall, pushing the frames gently and hoping for any result, all while glancing back at Ashlyn once in a while to check whether she was following. The girl was just standing in the center of the hall, not doing anything except for watching her, weird. Senna accidentally leant against a painting and it popped open with a soft click sound, nd there were stairs leading in three directions; left, right, and down.

Stepping in, Senna closed the painting up and stood at the crossways of the stairs.
"Lumos," she whispered. Around her were coppery brown walls and the stairs were shaky, leaving Senna to choose where to go. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath, then cast a charm to leave a light trail to where she'd gone, then headed down south, completely forgetting about the paper's connections.

This was the right path, right?
