NOT AFRAID (ALTERNATE)

CALLIOPE'S JAW dropped at the sight before her. Hundred of bodies, dangling in mid-air, seemingly lifeless. "The missing kids... floating."

They all turned to Beverly, jumping in hopes to pull her down. Mike, with the help of Richie grabbed Ben and lifted him into the air. "Just let me grab her." He said, taking ahold of the redhead' feet, where he managed to pull her down.

Ben stared into Beverly's glossy eyes and blank face as the others looked on with concern.

Calliope felt her body fill with dread. Richie sensed her worry, grabbing her hand and giving it a tight squeeze.

"Why isn't she waking up?" Ben cried. "What's wrong with her? Beverly, please." He pushed her head upright, hugging her. After holding her for a few seconds, in a last ditch effort, he kissed her.

"Whoa." Everyone blinked.

Seconds later Beverly gasped awake, staring at Ben. "January embers." The girl whispered.

"My heart burns there too." Ben replied with a smile.

"Jesus fuck." Richie breathed, embracing the group in a hug. Callie sighed in relief, wrapping her arms around her friends.

"Wait," Bev spoke up, "Where's Bill?"

They broke apart, following Mike and his flashlight, where they found Bill standing in front of a one armed boy. Calliope recognised the boy's face from the newspaper. Georgie Denbrough.

"I wanna go home!" The little boy cried.

Calliope swallowed back her tears. All she could think about was Dylan.

"I miss you! I wanna be with mom and dad!"

"I want more than anything for you to be home." Bill croaked, holding back his sobs. "With mom, and dad. I miss you so much." He stepped closer to his brother.

"I love you, Billy." Georgie sniffled, staring up at the taller boy.

"I love you too." Bill said. Calliope and the losers gasped in shock as he pulled out Mike's gun, pressing it against Georgie's forehead.

Bill breathed heavily. "But you're not Georgie."

He pulled the trigger, causing an echo to ring out through the cavern. Georgie fell backwards. The losers watched with wide eyes.
