Ahriman stood before them. Fearless, intimidating. The assassins felt a great pressure upon their chests. This was what it was like standing in the presence of a Primordial. Their legs struggled to support their bodyweight. Sweat rolled down their faces.
"Stand aside mortals." Ahriman commanded.
Both of the assassins stood at the ready, refusing to do as the primordial ordered.
"You defy me?"
They said nothing. They refused to lower their blades. The pressure they felt meant that they couldn't allow this creature to escape.
Keenio rushed first, throwing an angled strike. Just as he thought he had made contact, his blade was blocked by a black stone-like blade. It was as if the Primordial pulled the sword out of thin air. He blocked Keenio's blade with one hand, without even a flinch. The two remained locked in place.
Elizabeth leaped off of Keenio's shoulder, and mid air struck downward. But as if she had attacked a typhoon she was thrown back. It was as if Ahriman summoned an invisible shield.
"What are you?" Elizabeth asked the creature.
"I am Ahriman, bringer of darkness and death. What makes you think two pathetic mortals can bring me down."
He grabbed Keenio by his throat and flung him into Elizabeth. She quickly plunged Excalibur into the earth so she could brace for his impact, and he pushed off of her to regain his footing.
"Be more careful Keenio..." She said rubbing the new red mark on her forehead, from where Keenio face planted.
"Sorry Elizabeth.." Keenio said rubbing his nose.
Keenio charged again, and he was blocked again, only he used the momentum of his contact to slide under the Primordial's blade attempting another horizontal slash, but Ahriman back stepped and kicked the teenager in his gut. And then rushed at Elizabeth.
Quickly with Excalibur she blocked, but was still pushed back. The runes began to glow as she tried to push back, and Ahriman's stone-like blade was shattered.
As her opponent's blade broke she carved quick semi-circles at Ahriman's chest, and chipped his armor. Then Keenio lunged out from behind him and cut through the back of their adversary.
"No mortal has ever broken my armor..."
He said as he stepped to the side to regain his footing.
"Looks like we did.." Elizabeth mocked.
"You dare insult me mortal?"
Ahriman began to levitate. The walls of the ancient temple began to shake, black smoky energy began to vacuum around him. The entire temple crumbled and fell apart. They were now standing in rubble.
Surrounding Ahriman was a black tornado, whirling ominously.
As Keenio and Elizabeth attampted to traverse the mighty winds, their skin and armor began to be filled with cuts and tears.
Ahriman floated out of the eye of the tornado, and hovered over it, he pulled his arms back and clutched his fists. And the tornado widened and burst. Slaming all the debris of the temple into the assassin's.
Elizabeth summoned magic spheres to protect her and Keenio, and the debris turned into ashes as they made contact.
"Thank you Elizabeth, I appreciate it." Keenio huffed.
"Keenio we need a plan."
"I have one." He smirked.
Keenio used his magic and a red light surrounded him, and he vanished. Only to appear above Ahriman and launched a strong downward strike. But Ahriman grabbed him by his throat again and squeezed.
