8| confusion

taehyung's eyes were firm on the gun, jeongguk's on the pretty male's face.

the blonde was certainly scared, but no, it wasn't because of the gun that was pointing at him, or the male behind that— it was all of this. he questioned what he had ridden himself into, that he ended up in this position.

taehyung was never one to appear strong. he was fragil, hid his emotions behind a huge, thick iron door and never opened up to anyone. just like now, where he was scared, where he regretted a lot of things, he hid these feelings and appeared strong.

"are you crazy? put it down!" seokjin looked at the scenario in shock. it wasn't like he was scared something was happening to taehyung physically, he was rather worried about if taehyung could take this mental pressure.

the boy had been going through hell since the moment he got to meet jeongguk, seokjin wonders how he can stay so strong.

but like already mentioned, he wasn't scared that something happens to the blond. even though his raven-haired brother appears like someone that would kill someone with a snap of his fingers, he'd never do that. i mean, he'd never kill an innocent person, the bad boys can go to hell.

knowing taehyung has done nothing that gives jeongguk a reason worth getting killed, calms him.

jeongguk won't hurt the boy.

taehyung's eyes were focused on the gun, but with a sudden determination, he looked up to jeongguk. taehyung's eyes that always seemed to shine and that always seemed doe-y, looked sharp and daring at the moment. jeongguk felt himself struggling to hold the eye contact and that's something new to him.

but he licked his lips, seeing taehyung still trembling slightly under his gaze too. it just reassures jeongguk that taehyung was indeed a little scared of him.

"what is princess? lost your voice?" one side of his lips curled up, until a smirk was formed. his feet moved from their own, when he took a step closer to the trembling male.

taehyung gulped lightly, searching for something in jeongguk's face— at least one emotion, but besides a mocking smirk, there was nothing.

"keep looking me in the eyes, then tell me how you aren't scared of me." jeongguk said, loving the way the victory already lay in his hands.

"come on, princess, say it." he took another step forward, his tattooed fingers moving to the trigger, but taehyung kept quiet, holding the eye contact.

taehyung looked to his best friends and immediately calmed down. their faces were the reassurances that everything was fine. how?
they didn't looked panicked, they didn't looked like something would really happen to taehyung.

they were calm and taehyung isn't dumb. if he really was in danger, yoongi would've been about to kill jeongguk. he knows it. he understands it. there is no danger right now.

jeongguk is just trying to scare him.

and taehyung hates this attitude, hates the way jeongguk seems so confident and he would love to break this confident wall of the older.

so taehyung smirks back, takes a step forward, without loosing eye contact to jeongguk and then places his hand on the gun, pointing it right to his forehead. "shoot me if you want." were his only words.

a flash of surprise went through jeongguk's eyes, but disappeared immediately. it didn't get unnoticed by taehyung though, who celebrated his win internally.

because, whatever this jeon ass is gonna do, he messed with the wrong blonde.

the eye contact was held a little longer, their bodies not moving, the tension anything else but loose— suffocating for everyone who was around.
