Anger mends the heart
Forming scar tissue
Nice and thick
"But when you carry it alone
you find it only getting in the way."
Vengeance quenches the soul
Only the wronged will know
But it's useless when your thirst returns
Pity for oneself relieves the mind
It is the first step in a long journey
But it's put on hold if it's your excuse
To harm others
Forgiveness isn't necessary for peace
For some things cannot be forgiven
Unless it comes from you
Full and true
Be gentle with yourself
Firm too
Give yourself time
Foster self-love
Find those with whom you can speak freely
That's all you need to do
