XIV- The Rush

It fogs up your mind,
blinds your sight,
and turns off your radars;
the ones that sense danger,
and perceive threats.

And it ties your stomach into nots,
that it seals its gate,
leaving you unnourished,
yet hungry for more than just a meal,
for it seasons up your life with flavors,
ones you were never brave enough to taste.
And it leaves you with the discovery
of the appetite you've got for spices.

It presents with a curious kind of rush,
a rush the drives your blood at high speed,
that makes your heart exhaust its power
to keep that blood pumping.

And It brightens up your eyes
that they glisten like crystals.
And it fixes your lips to a smile
that makes people wonder
what type of drug your on.

And it warms up your cheeks
then paints them with timid crimson.
It fills your lungs with cool air
that is delicate to your soul.

And so your heart envisions
on behalf of your eyes,
for what you feel is too complex for your intellect to comprehend.
