Minerva looked around with a frown on her face, causing Chibs to give her a frown of his own.

"Wha's wrong, darlin'?"

Minerva shook her head. "Nothing, really. I just... have you seen Riley since we got here?"

Chibs shook his head as he looked around the room just as Minerva just had. "Nah, I haven'." He threw back his shot before standing up. "I'll look for her. Unser should be here soon."

She nodded as he walked away, deciding to check the dorms before going outside. He shook his head as he thought that the lass was quickly turning into more trouble than she was worth. At first sight, he'd thought that she was beautiful and that maybe he'd want to get to know her better, but then she'd started spouting the nonsense about serial killers and bodies. Now, he didn't really know what to think of Riley.

He stopped short when he saw Riley down the hall, sitting cross-legged and looking like she was in deep conversation with someone. The only problem with that was the fact that she was alone. He shivered as he felt how cold it was at this end of the hallway, but then he just told himself he was letting the lass spook him. That was until Riley spoke and he could see her breath.

"Of course, I'll come back. I promise."

Chibs watched as she looked at the wall across from her before nodding and standing up. He cleared his throat, causing her to look his way. "There ye are, lass. Unser should be comin', yeah?" She just nodded as she quickly walked past him, forcing him to follow her. "What were ye doin' back there by yerself?"

Riley shrugged. "I just needed some space for a few minutes."

Chibs just sighed as they made their way back to the main room, finding Chief Unser and David Hale there waiting. Jax nodded to Riley as they walked up.

"This is the woman that found the bodies, Chief."

She held her hand out to the police chief. "Riley Meadows."

Unser shook hands with her as he gave her a small smile. "Nice to meet you, sweetheart." He waved a hand at the younger man at his side. "This is my deputy chief, David Hale. He thinks, and I agree, that we need you to come in and answer some questions for us."

Riley just sighed and nodded as Chibs stepped up beside her. "Ye can talk to her here, Hale. She's had a long day."

Hale lifted a brow before shaking his head. "No, this is official police business now. We need to talk at the station."

Riley nodded. "It's fine, really. We can go now if you like. The sooner we're done, the sooner I can either find a hotel for the night or get on the road."

Hale nodded as the chief put a hand on her back and escorted her outside. Ariel looked on as Minerva cursed and shook her head. "She's going to run. Dammit!"

Chibs felt his stomach tighten at that piece of information. "Why would she?"

Minerva gave him a dirty look. "Because that's what she does when she feels cornered or nervous. You didn't help with the fact that you were quite clear that you didn't believe her."

Chibs shook his head. "I dinnae say tha'."

Ariel gave him a look from where she stood next to Jax. "You didn't have to. Luna may be the empath of the group but Riley is really good at reading people. She probably knew what you were thinking before you did."

Chibs ran a hand through his hair as he looked around the group. "Christ."

"How did you know the bodies were there? Were you involved somehow?"

Riley stared at Hale for a moment before slowly shaking her head. "We've been over this. No, I wasn't involved in how they got there and I didn't know they were there. I was just there looking over the property with my friends." She shrugged. "I just happened to be the one that came across them, that's all."

Hale nodded as he jotted something down in the file laying open in front of him. "And you say that you know that SAMCRO isn't involved in the deaths of these people. How do you know that?"

Riley sighed as she ran a hand through her hair. They'd been at this for at least two hours and she was starting to tire of his line of questioning. "I just know. I mean, how do you know they would be involved?"

Hale smirked then, shrugging. "Well, I don't, but I do know them a lot better than you do, Ms. Meadows. SAMCRO isn't above killing to get what they want. If I were you, I wouldn't be defending a group that you say you just met today."

Riley, blew out a breath, her patience officially at an end. She leaned forward and smiled at Hale. "You seem to have a real hate hardon for these guys." She shrugged. "You're right. I don't know them, but do you want to know what I do know?" When Hale nodded, she continued. "I know that you spend an awful lot of time chasing after these guys, but I think you really wish that you could be like them." She leaned back and crossed her arms over her chest as she looked him in the eye. "You've spent your whole life doing things the right way, following behind Daddy and your big brother, doing everything by the book, when deep down you wish that you could have the freedom that those men have. They don't answer to anyone, especially you, and it pisses you off because you can't do the same." She winked at him. "How close am I? I feel like I'm pretty close to the mark."

David Hale broke eye contact and stared at the table for a moment before nodding and standing up. He opened the door and motioned toward her. "I think we're done here." Riley smirked and nodded as she stood and walked toward the door. As she got close, he cleared his throat. "Don't leave town for the time being."

Riley simply nodded as she walked out of the interrogation room and out to the main room. As she walked out the front doors into the dark parking lot, she sighed and shook her head. There, astride his bike, and looking for all the world like he belonged there, was Chibs. She walked past him toward the street, hearing him curse before calling out to her.

"Where ye goin', Ri?"

She shook her head again as she continued to walk. "Not that it's any of your business, but I'm walking back to your little clubhouse to collect my car."

"Aye, hop on and I'll give ye a ride." When she turned and glared at him, he grinned and patted the seat behind him. "I won't bite, luv."
