Chapter 1: Tell Us

Sonic was in the van, thinking about something, he looked really depressed, he hadn't said a single joke or smiled in all day, heck! He didn't want to participate in any missions that day!

Sonia and Manic were really worried for their brother, they went up to him to ask him. Sonia tapped on his shoulder, Sonic looked at them with dull eyes.

"Sonic" Sonia started, "Whats wrong? You haven't been yourself in all day!"
Sonic looked back at the window.

"Nothing wrong Sonia" he said, Manic shook his head.

"If this is about your Foster Parents and Uncles death, then why so sad if the day they died was a month ago?" He asked, Sonic got up and turned to them.

"This ISNT about them! It's about someone else!" Sonic snapped. The two hedgehogs raised their hands up in defense.

"Geez calm down! We just want to help" Manic said, Sonic just started at them, he just sighed and sat back down and looked out the window again.

"Just leave me alone" he said, Sonia and Manic sighed and left him alone.

Sonic looked out the window and held two objects in his hand.

"I'm Sorry" he said, "I hope you can forgive me"

Sonic and Tails were camping outside since they both didn't have a home to return to, in the morning. Tails got up early, today was the day the two met, their one year friendship anniversary! So Tails wanted to do something special for him, Tails got up and saw that Sonic was still asleep, so the cub had time to do something for him.

Tails went to a tree and carved out two parts of it, and with that, he started carving a symbol on both, one had a carving of two tails like his twin-tails and another was a circle with spike that looked like Sonic's quills.

He was finished but Sonic was still asleep, so he started to make eggs for their breakfast.

When Sonic woke up, Tails was finished, so when he noticed Sonic was awake, he said.

"Oh! Hey Sonic! Your just in time! I just finished breakfast, here!" He then set the eggs next to the blue hedgehog who devoured it quickly, while Tails just started.

"Dude chill, you might choke" Tails laughed, Sonic shrugged.

"It's a habit, you should already know this little bro" he said, Tails nodded.

When Tails finished his breakfast, he turned to Sonic.

"Can I give you something?" He asked, Sonic nodded.

"Here, I made these, since today is the day we met" Tails said, Sonic looked wide eyed at what looked like his symbol and Tails', he was impressed on how detailed it looked.

"I was never really good with wood carving, but I did my best!" He chirped, Sonic looked at him shocked.

"What do you mean?! These are so good!" He shouted, Tails chuckled shyly and gave him the two tailed symbol.

"That way, we can always be with each other! No matter what!" Sonic took it and examined how it look.

"And so that we can tell if we are real or not" Tails joked, the two laughed and spent the rest of the day peaceful, but it didn't last.

Sapphire and Emerald eyes were talking while sitting on the breach, but they heard something, the two didn't know what, but Tails' ear twitched and saw a capsule coming towards Sonic.

The hedgehog was oblivious of this, and Tails acted immediately and pushed Sonic out of the way, the capsule captured him.

"TAILS!!!!" Sonic shouted, a familiar laughter joined the chat.
