Poseidon slammed his trident onto the ground, causing a large wave to come crashing towards the group. Cordelia had to think fast.
She looked to Slenderman with worry, who only nodded and spoke one thing.
"Concentrate, breath, focus."
"You got this Cori!" She could hear everyone cheering nervously for her. Cori looked back towards the incoming tidal wave, now the size of the mansion itself, which was triple the height of Slenderman himself.
Cori rose her hands, breathing in, pausing the wave right as it reached their feet. As she exhaled, she shoved her hands forward, causing the wave to fall back right onto Poseidon, who quickly swiped his Trident to destroy the wave.
This is when the Sirens she hadn't realized were there began their charge. Thank god everyone was smart enough to listen to Slenderman to cover their ears, making them unable to hear their songs.
Everyone rushed forward, swinging wildly at the Sirens who were much more agile than them in the water at everyone's waists.
Cori had been trying to help her friends avoid being sucked in by the Sirens into the brackish waters.
Poseidon had taken this as an opportunity to corner Cordelia, where Elise did not take this kindly.
She swung around shotgun in hand, screaming obscenities at him.
"Hey, Jackass!" She yelled, and when Poseidon faced her, she fired her shotgun at the stomach, which made the god stumble backward, snarling obscenities back at her.
Cori was thankful for Elise grabbing his attention, as she forced a whirling waterspout to form around them to prevent Poseidon from being able to use his abilities against others.
When Poseidon recovered, he stood up and began to swing wildly at Cordelia, attempting to land a blow to her. The only way he could kill her was with his trident.
Cori ducked and jumped back, but as this continued she was only growing exhausted. She wouldn't be able to keep this up forever. When Poseidon's trident got stuck for just a moment, it was the moment she needed.
Cori rushed forward, sending Poseidon flying backward and tugging out the trident herself, and when Poseidon attempted to grab it from her, she struck forward, stabbing Poseidon in the chest.
She yanked the trident back, watching as Poseidon collapsed and the waterspout collapsed into a huge wave, with the water receding into the ocean, the rain beginning to cease.
The Siren's let out screeches of fear as the water began to recede, forcing some to flop like a fish as they attempted to be swept back toward the ocean, along with Poseidon's dead body.
It was finally over. Cordelia had won. But this meant another issue. Cordelia had to go with the Sirens, as now that she was the rightful owner of the trident, she was the new goddess of the ocean.
She turned back to everyone, who immediately sprang forward and surrounded her, hugging her tightly.
But they knew this was goodbye. Even if they wanted her to stay, they all knew she had to leave.
Cori looked at them all, smiling. "I'll miss you guys a hell of a lot. But that doesn't mean I'll come to visit when I can if I'll ever be able to."
And with that, Cordelia took after the receding waves, diving in with the last thing everyone seeing was her turning to her siren form.

And that's it. That's the ending. Cordelia now belongs to the ocean, and now EJ is devoid of a roommate. I think Gen is rubbing off on me with how they like to give the readers undesirable endings.
