(Y/N) POV

I finished packing my duffel bag for the next four years at Beacon, as Mom had been making sure I had everything. To the point where she was watching my every move. "You know, you don't have to breathe down my neck," I tell her as she sighs and looks at me. "I'm standing on the other side of the room." I groan and pick up my bag slinging it over my shoulder. I look around the room as I exit to the main office. "Well, I won't be seeing this place for a while," I say while walking to the front door. But before I could open the door, she caught me in an embrace, crying a little. "I'm gonna miss you." She said, sniffling as I hugged back. "I'll miss you too, Mom." She doesn't let go for another thirty seconds afraid that she'll never see me again. "Be safe, (Y/N)," she said after letting go of me as she wiped off the tears, "I will, Mom," I told her and walked out the door. Delta and I walk to the bullhead landing pad. There were surprisingly a lot of people going to Beacon. Everyone started staring at me, probably because I looked older than everyone else and because I had a grimm sitting right next to me. People came up to me asking me if they could pet him. I chuckled and told them they could try, but they might lose their hand in the process. He would only let me pet him and I do not understand why. The bull headlands and everybody tries to get in at once. I just sit back for a minute to watch everyone falling over each other.

TIMESKIP

The bullhead lands as I step out and take in the view of Beacon Academy. Delta went into the mark in my arm as I walked around the campus. Before I could even figure out where I was supposed to be going, I heard an explosion. I look in the direction of the explosion to my right to see what happens as I get there. As I get to the location of the explosion I see a girl who was lying on the floor and another girl yelling at her. She quickly gets up and- oh son of a bitch, it's Ruby. I turn around and walk in the other direction. I find a bench to sit down on. Once I do, Delta comes out, sensing my discomfort as my breathing is shaky. "I'm okay, boy," I tell him in a shaky voice. Delta became my service dog for my PTSD 8 years ago. So when I ever started having panic attacks, he would try his best to comfort me. He whimpers and rests his head on my knee. I pat his head and start to calm down, I stand from my seat. But as I was about to walk to find the auditorium, a voice stopped me. "Hey! Tall, dark, and handsome with the grimm dog thing!" I turn around to see- why does Oum hate me? It's fucking Yang. "That is a grimm, right?" She doesn't seem to recognize me thankfully. "Yes, he is," I tell her disinterested as Delta growls at her. I pet his head to tell him to calm down. "That's so freaken cool!" she said excitedly as she put out her hand. "Name's Yang. What's yours, handsome?" I do nothing but stare at her as my hands start shaking. She looks at me like I have two heads. "Listen, I got to run. See ya'." I say and quickly walk away, Delta follows after me. I finally found the auditorium and listened to Ozpin's depressing speech. A little while later, everyone pulls out a sleeping bag and gets ready to go to bed. I had no idea that we were sleeping in here so I just used my bag as a pillow while Delta sleeps right next to me. "Um, e-excuse me?" I look up to see Ruby. My heart started racing but I kept. "Y-yes," I said a bit nervous. "Um, I think you met my sister earlier today. She keeps looking over in your direction." She said, trying to be polite, but my anger at them punted my nervousness. "Your point being?" I said with a slight growl getting aggravated. She takes notice and backs off. "I-I'm sorry to bother you. I-I'll let you sleep..." she apologizes and walks back to Yang.

RUBY POV

I walk back over to Yang tubing my arm to calm down while thinking about what just happened. That guy sounded so shy at first but then he got so hostile out of nowhere. I got back to my sleeping bag and Yang looked at me.  "So, how did it go?" Yang asked curiously but I sighed in frustration. "Horrible. I don't think he wants to talk to anyone right now." I said, defeated, as she looked at m,e, confused and concerned. "What did he say to you?" She asked again. "Nothing, really," I say to make her drop it as I lay down.

YANG POV

This guy is getting on my goddamn nerves. First, he brushes me off, and now my little sister!? How is he even here?! He looks like he's in his twenties! But I couldn't help but notice his red eyes. I only knew one guy with red eyes. And his hair looks similar but without the silver in it. Could it be? No, he wouldn't come to Beacon. I would give anything to see him one more time, though, at least one last time.

TIMESKIP - NEXT MORNING - (Y/N) POV

Everyone gets ready on some kind of platform. Ozpin asked me if I wanted to skip the initiation since I had already taken hunter jobs back at the DMC shop. I told him I was good and watched everything from my scroll. It was fun watching everyone running grimm. When it was all done, the teams were announced. I was the only one left. When Ozpin called my name, everyone was confused since I wasn't in the initiation. I got on the stage with Delta and Ozpin gave another speech. Does he ever shut up? Seriously ge finally ends his speech. "Students of Beacon, I am proud to announce the first one-man team. (Y/N) Redgrave, for the next four years, your team name will be DVHT!" (special thanks to @GogetaBlue2019 ) Everyone cheered at me while others just stared at Delta. I walk off the stage and walk to my assigned dorm. But before I could open the door, I heard the voice again. "(Y/N)!" I hear Yang's voice behind me. My hands shook again, but I kept composure. I turn around to see her shocked face. "It's... It's you isn't it?" I stare at her with a cold expression as I turn around again and open the door, quickly closing it behind me and locking it.

TAI POV

I was sitting at home having me time. I just got back from a grueling mission, so I'm extremely tired. Yang and Ruby went to Beacon, now the house is extremely quiet. I sighed in relaxation but then heard a ring from my scroll. I reach over to the coffee table and pick it up in my hand. It was a text from Yang. At first, I thought she got in trouble on her first day. When I opened her text, it was just a picture of a boy and... a grimm dog. But then she sent something else. I dropped my scroll in shock when I read it. I quickly picked it up to confirm if what I saw was true, and It was. The only words she sent were, 'I found him, it's (Y/N).'
