~In the present~
Leila was trying to get out of the grip of her captors. That kidnapping was nothing more than another bad move by Grimmel's men. As soon as they managed to set it apart enough for anyone to suspect, they set her free.
As he could, Leila turned away from them while cursing her situation. It was the last straw that none of those good at all treated her as an object. Didn't they remember who she was and what her position was? "Hello, Pattsy" -one of the men mocked "How was your stay here, Pattsy? Have you had fun with those children? "-Other continued with the mockery
Leila started to get irritated. How she hated that nickname. She simply didn't tolerate it. She counted to ten mentally and decided to ignore them"I hope you have a good reason to bring me here like this" -Leila placed her hands on her waist- "What about my father? If you are here, then he..."
"He will be here sooner than you think, Pattsy" -said the first man
"He wants you to continue with the plan as of place. If something goes wrong... You must return" -the second man spoke- "it seems that we have an informer among us..."
"Oh please, who would dare to give us away?" -Leila let out a slight laugh
"Your dear old friend... Halderson" -they said
Leila was silent immediately. That wasn't right. If there was someone who knew her father better than her, it was Jon"That... is impossible" -She let out a nervous laugh- "Halderson is my father's killer... he... he swore loyalty to him, don't you remember?"
"Don't be naive, Pattsy" -said the man- "We all know that he has always wanted to leave... and it seems that he has already found the opportunity to end everything you know"
"And how do you know?" -Leila held her head in despair- "This can't be happening to me"
"You better not fail, Pattsy" -one of the men spoke- "The boss doesn't want mistakes. If you don't want blood to run, stay out of the situation and don't get attached to anyone"
That said, the men threw something at her. Her crossbow "Don't fail" -they said and proceeded to leave her alone
Despair was at the limit. Leila's mind was now completely confused
She had very little time to be in that village and with that group of riders, why did they care now?(...)
The night was already falling in the village. Dinner happened normally and most of the Vikings had gone to their respective homes. The group of riders still remained in the dining rooms, commenting on some plans and strategies that they had to establish in case some enemy thought about attacking them
"It's useless. We don't have enough information about Grimmel" -Hiccup sighed
"We must not get like this" -Astrid placed her hand on his shoulder to comfort him- "We just have to wait for others to come back with more news"
"Astrid is right, Bro" -Meg winked at him while smiling- "When you least expect it, we'll know what to do"
"What also matters is knowing where Leila is, guys" -Ana mentioned something worried
"Really, Ana?" -Astrid asked- "How quickly did you forget how she treated you?"
"I talked to her, and believe me... She isn't what she seems to be" -Ana replied
The three looked at each other. There was no way to contradict their friend"I think... we have all judged her more" -said Meg- "We aren't like that... We are supposed to help anyone in trouble. Maybe Leila has a... very strong character, but maybe she's just scared and confused"
Astrid denied and sighed. The actions Leila had done didn't justify her strange behavior. There was something about her that just didn't fit
