THE HORROR IN THE MIRROR
The evening was cold and silent,
The atmosphere was worth a bit of every cent,
Normal as it should be with all in place,
Darkness fast approaching with lightning pace.Apartment well lit like a haven of gold,
Air so friendly in this humble abode,
Well-organized with the lightest of load,
The space within could accommodate as much as it could hold,The light went out accompanied by a sudden whine,
Panic waves filled the air like a scrambled line,
What once was had suddenly left,
All remaining was the hollow fear to unearth. The ray of light from the torch lit up the multiple corridors,
The sound of unseen feet and whine echoed amongst the doors,
The darkness grew darker with every level of panic,
All felt like everything happening was being dramatic. The mirror beyond reflected the ray of my touch all around,
The beat of my heart echoed through the silence like a heavy sound,
With the hair on my body suddenly standing upright like a cat's fur,
The torch went off on its own due to the emergence of the crocked horror in the mirror.
