The Son of Death

Chapter 5

Telos P.O.V

I looked around and saw a bunch of the girls snickering below.

"Um...Hi" I said, "why exactly am i in a tree".

They just kept snickering.

"Well I'm going back to sleep have a nice day", I said and closed my eyes. Suddenly an arrow went through the rope that was binding me and i fall to the ground, face first.

"Ow" I groaned. I pushed myself up into a sitting position. My ankle was throbbing. I went to get up but when i put weight on my leg i fell over.

"Here eat this", Artemis said while walking up to me holding out something. "Uh.....Thanks", I took it. I examined it. I took a bite and it tasted like vanilla ice cream. My ankle didn't throb anymore. I looked up at Artemis. "What is It?", I asked "Ambrosia", she replied, "godly food".

"Uh ok", i replied.

"So about the goddess thing, if i'm a mortal than why are you bringing me along with you", I asked.

"You are not entirely mortal, you're a demigod. Half god, half mortal.", she said.

"Really? cool....", I said, "is that why that thing was after me".

"Yes now you and your hellhound need to be ready to move", she said

"Um sorry but why do you keep calling him a hellhound", I asked.

"Because thats what he is, a hellhound", she replied.

"Oh", was all i could say. I got up and went to find Menos. He was sitting by my tent.

"Come here boy", I ordered. He trotted up to me. "Come on buddy we're gonne have to go soon", I said.

Soon the girls had packed up camp and were ready to leave. "Time to go", Artemis said.

After around 2 hours of moving we stopped.

"Girls go hunt for luch", Artemis commanded. They all nodded and ran off into the woods.

"Can I do anything, I know i can't hunt or anything but is there anything else i could do?", I asked.

"No" and with that she walked off.

After about 30 minutes all of the hunters were back and the food was cooked. Artemis walked up and handed me some of the meat. "Here you need to eat", she said.

"Thanks", I said.

When everyone was done eating and everything was cleaned up the hunters were ready to move.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- After around 5 hours of running through the woods with 5 minute breaks every 10 minutes, I was ready to lay down and die.

"Alright girls set up camp for tonight, I'm going to tel chiron we will be there tomorrow", Artemis shouted.

As soon as they were done and they had dinner i weent to sleep.

Dream.

Standing in front of me was a man in a black cloak and carrying a black scythe. He was tall and gave off a powerful feeling and I could feel death radiating off of him.
