Alice pov

I pressed my tighs together in the car, struggling to contain the lust he awakened in me. I craved for a man's touch and it was clearly working to his advantage. Every woman needs it even if some don't like to admit it. I was hesitant again, confused whether he wanted to really know me or just my past. I couldn't help but find his features and strong tall body attractive. Even in those high heels I was shorter than him by half a head. 'You'll thank me later' I nearly let out a small moan at the thought alone. It was wrong. He was clearly using me, why did I like it so much. I was going crazy in his house. His persona was misting all my senses and as there was nothing left, I clung onto him. Not from pity. I did pay a lot thought to it, I needed to make difference between wanting to comfort him and the actual desires. I found him attractive way before I knew anything about him. I wasn't in the headspace for a romance but he was pulling me closer to him, even every time he pushed me away. I stayed silent most of the road, worried my voice would tremble. I couldn't believe it but all that happened it the morning and yesterday was so distant I almost forgave him. I wanted to enjoy all he could give me tonight. I guess we both deserved a bottle of wine, fine dining and a little something as dessert later...

We entered a big sumptous hallway with a reception. A lady in her thirties looked sceptically at Kilgrave and me but I knew he always had an ace up his sleeve 'Me and my lady wish for a quiet table for two, right now' he ordered her, and the woman like a puppet entered something on the tablet and in less than five minutes we were seating on a mezzanin all on our own with candle light all around us. 'Lovely' a waiter pulled a chair for me and we were left alone with a food and wine menus. 'Do you come here often?' I asked Kil as I glanced at the wine menu. I knew some of the names and I remembered tasting a Chianti and a Primitivo before but I prefered if he chose tonight. 'Not really. Only with special... company. White or red?' he asked simply, I deffinitely felt like red tonight. The waiter opened the bottle for us and let Kil justify whether it was good enough 'It's good' Kilgrave gave the waiter a cold look as the man was gazing slightly at me in somewhat interested manner. 'Do you like my girl, tell me?' I felt uneasy as Kil clearly noticed what I only assumed and the man in his twenties gulped 'Y-yes sir, very much so' poor thing had to reply accordingly 'Kil, please' I tried to stop him but he shushed me 'Yeah, why don't you go and quit right now and then maybe see if the knifes in the kitchen are sharp enough for you to-'

I couldn't let him do it, it was ruining the evening 'To cut the steak we're about to order' I interupted and kicked Kilgrave underneath the table hard enough for him to shut up. 'Leave now and ask another waiter to serve us' I comanded the scared boy, he almost ran away from us. I glared at Kil. 'We're having a nice evening, aren't we, so why not keep it this way' I pointed out and he gritted his teeth. He was a very angry person. And he clearly had troubles fighting it. 'Ruth you are not going to tell me what to do' I did my best to smile and try to forgive him. I put my hand over his on the table and stroked it a little 'I just want to enjoy your company without screams coming from the kitchen' I replied simply and this together with my touch seemed to have calmed him down a bit. 'Fine' he still looked a bit grumpy but soon hid his face behind the menu and I followed. I read the options and tasted the wine to judge what would go best with it. Red liquid was delicious, I hummed with approval and it didn't go unnoticed. 'I'm glad you can appriciate a fine wine' his voice sounded smooth, nothing like cold harsh tone he had couple minutes ago. It made me relax. I smiled at him and asked what he's up to curiously. 'I was thinking scallops for starter and a rib eye for the main course' he said after a moment of thought. I nodded. A waitress came to collect our order. She was an avarage looking girl, hopefully Kil wouldn't find anything to complain about her service or the look in her eyes. 'May I please take your order?' she said politely and I nodded. I let Kilgrave order first before I made my mind 'I will have the same except I'll start with your beef tartar instead' she took our menus and thanked us, topping up our glasses before she left. 'Good choice, my love' he rose us his glass and we clinked it 'To us' I said with the most charming smile as I took a big sip.
