Natsha’s POV
After an hour or so Y/n fell asleep and I put her into bed. I make my way down stairs where Steve, Tony, and Thor sat talking.
“How is Lady Y/n?” Thor asks when I walk in.
“She told me what happened to her…” I respond quietly. They all look at me and waited for another response. I sigh.
“She had or has an abusive foster dad and lost her parents in a break in. She was adopted by him at a young age and he’s the one who hurt her.” Nat says while looking down.
“How old is she?” Tony asks
“16” Bruce walks in.
“I finished testing her blood. Overall her blood is normal but little traces of something too small to identify, but enough to affect her.” Bruce says as he sits down in a chair across from everyone.
“Ok. Right now I think the best thing to do is make sure she feels safe with us.” Steve says. Everyone nods and starts heading to bed.
*TIME SKIP*
Y/n’s POV
It has been a week since I told Nat about my foster dad and everyone has been nicer and friendlier, except for Loki he just ignores me most of the time but I don’t mind. Tonight Tony is hosting a party and allowing me to be there, I can’t wait! Nat and Pepper already took me to pick out a dress. It is a midnight blue dress with sleeves.
I have gotten close with the avengers, but I heard them talking about Nick Fury. They want to keep me a secret and make sure Fury doesn’t find out about me.
I remember watching the movies and seeing his character, but those were just moves and meeting them in real life made me realize that the movies were not 100 percent accurate. I walk into the living room and sit next to Steve.
“Good morning Y/n” He says and smiles at me
“Morning. What are you watching?” I ask
“Something called Animal Planet”
“Cool. Can I-”
“Mornin Sleeping beauty! Are you ready for tonight?” Tony interrupts me and sits between me and Steve.
“Yes. I have-”
“Remember to stick by one of us at all times” Nat walks in and sits in one of the chairs next to the couch. I nod.
“Oh and don’t talk to anyone that looks suspicious or anyone peri-”
“Nat I’ll be ok. It’s not like someone will come and kidnap me.” I say trying to reassure her. She looks over at Tony and Steve.
“Can I speak to you two in private?” She says. I start to get up so they can talk, when Tony stops me and says to stay put. He gets up and walks into another room with Nat and Steve.
Steve’s POV
“I don’t think letting her go to the party is a good idea Tony” Natasha says
“Why not?” Tony asks
“Because what if someone finds out about her being here? We just got her and I don’t want to lose her.” Nat replies angrily
“Nat I have checked the guest list multiple times. No one on there is a threat.” Tony reasons with Nat.
“Will security be up also?” I ask Tony
“Yes, it will be and she’ll be with one of us at all times.” Tony adds
“I just have a bad feeling about letting her come.” Nat mumbles. I put my hand on her shoulder.
“She’ll be fine Nat. Tell you what. I’ll watch her first, then Tony, then you, and then she can hang out with the others. Deal?”
“Deal”
