Chapter 7

"Thank you for tonight" I say as he drops me off at my door "no problem. I was getting a little tired of the project" he says shrugging his shoulders.

"We should do this again?" He says smiling. I didn't know he could do that. Wow.

"Ya" I say smiling as he walks away.

I get inside and I hear Rya crying.

I run to the bathroom and it's locked. "Rya! Open the door!" I scream at her. She doesn't open the door and I call her name again. She cries louder.

I grab a bobby pin off the desk and jam it in the lock.

When the door opens Ryas on the floor and her arms are bleeding and the floor is sprawling with blood. "What happened!" I ask her grabbing her face in my hands. She doesn't look at me but keeps crying.

I notice blades on the floor and help her get up. "Rya what happened?" I ask again and she falls back to the floor sitting in her blood.

I grab paper towels and clean up all the blood. Then I grab the razors and chuck them into the grass outside our window. I pick her up and I apply cold water to her arms. She cries harder and I start crying too.

I finally sit her down on her bed and she stops crying.

"My dad getting worse" she croaks out after a minute of sitting on her bed.

"What do you mean?" I ask her wiping away her tears. "I didn't tell you this but my mom passed away about 4 years ago and I've only had my dad. My dad has lung cancer. He's had it for a long time now and it's been getting worse. That's why I was crying last night. I got a call from the hospital telling me my dads getting bad. He could die if I can't pay for his chemo. That's why I wanted you to do my club so maybe you could help me out but I realized how selfish that was. I'm so sorry." Rya cries

"I'm so sorry Rya I didn't know" I say hugging her. I wish she would've told me earlier.

"Ill do it" I say surprising both her and myself.

"Really?" She asks wiping her tears away. "what are friends for?" I say cheesyly.

"I guess we better get you some new bras and spandex shorts!" She laughs and I laugh nervously.
