Annabeth's POV
We (Kieran and I) returned to Camp Olympia. We warned Chiron and the campers and then went to sleep.
~~~
The next day I saw Kieran distancing from us after breakfast. His eyes had a broken look, a look of betrayal and sadness. I knew why, and I had to change that.
I walked over to him.
"Hey, Kieran, what's up?" He didn't look up.
"Kieran?" I asked worried. After a few seconds no silence he looked up. His eyes showed hatred in them.
"Why?" He had a broken voice. "Why didn't you tell me about this? How do I know that you gods are any better than the Primordials?" I sighed and led him to a bench, then sat down.
"Well Kieran...".
"You're no better are you?" He rushed. I shook my head quickly.
"No! No, of course not... The gods are much better than the Primordials because..." Kieran sighed and stood up.
"You can't even defend yourself and your allies, pathetic," He murmured, then Kieran looked up at the sky.
"Look, I am only helping you because the Primordials aren't any better, but... Any more of this and I will leave," He finished and walked of to his cabin. I bit my lip, hoping everything was going for the better (oh, you are so wrong...).
~~~
Kieran wouldn't talk to us for the next few days. A bunch of different demigods tried (and failed) getting him to talk. At some moment even Piper went and tried to Charmspeak him. But he only glared at her and stalked of.
Chiron also tried, but he only got a few words. Some even Chiron wouldn't tell us.
I was worried. If Kieran didn't want to talk to us, something bad might be happening in his head, betrayal maybe...
I brought this idea up with Jason, Piper and Chiron. Which brings us to the place I am at right now.
The big house.
~~~
Jason, Piper, Chiron, me and a bunch of different demigods stood around the ping pong table. In silence.
"What are you suggesting Annabeth?" Chiron finally spoke up. I looked up at everyone and sighed.
"Well, ever since we came back to Camp Olympia, Kieran and I, Kieran has been... Distancing away. I'm sure everyone has noticed?" Everyone here nodded.
"So, I was wondering if... Maybe Kieran was wondering about betraying us?" No one spoke.
"We should speak to the gods about this Annabeth," Chiron suggested. I thought about it, then nodded.
"Still looking up to those idiots?" A voice was heard from the window. Everyone turned their heads and saw Kieran standing there, his messy, black hair was slightly covering his eyes. A scar shined on his left cheek.
"Ki- Kieran?" I choked on air. He grinned. I couldn't help but notice how familiar he looked like Percy, and Y/N...
"Yours only- Actually scratch that, I am not yours," He pushed his hair up with his hand and sighed.
"Wha- What are you doing here?" Piper asked shyly. Kieran's face got serious.
"Listening to you monsters," Everyone gasped. "But I don't care, go to your petty gods and do whatever you want. I don't care," At that moment 6 flashes were seen outside. Everyone ran towards the lights.
