"Can't you just stay home this year!?" My sister moans.
"I'm sorry Cat, I can't. I haven't seen Lola and Fern since last summer!"
"Please! I never see you in the summer!"
"You're right, you don't. You just see me every other day of the year!"
"Sabrina please don't go!" She yells angrily.
"Bye bye Cat" I say and kiss her cheek. She pouts until I walk out the door. I climb into the passenger seat of my dads car. "Got everything?" He asks.
"Toothbrush, toothpaste, clothes, shoes, phone and other shit" I say.
"Hey! Language young lady" he snaps.
"English dad" I reply smiling. He sighs but I ignore it. Instead I turn on my favourite music. I change the CD and put on 'George Ezra - Budapest'. I start singing the lyrics as loud as I can.
"Miles from Budapest my, my hidden treasure chest, golden grand piano, beautiful Castillo"
"Shut up. You can't sing" my dad says smiling.
"Cheek! I can sing beautiful" I reply laughing.
"I can sing much better"
"Yeah! Right" I say sarcastically. We both start laughing. My dad and I always have a fun time. I'm closest to my dad than anyone else. My mum never really pays any attention to me. But my sister looks up to me. And I love her for it. I try and be the best I can for her because she always talks about how I'm her role model. She even wrote a class paper about how I'm her hero. She's probably one of the best things in my life.

My dad finally drives through the entrance of the summer camp I've been going to for 12 years. We park outside my usual cabin and my dad helps me inside with my suitcase and when I walk in Fern and Lola start squealing and they run up to me and hug me tightly. "We've missed you so much!" Lola yells.
"I've missed you guys too" I reply.
"OK, I'm gonna go" my dad says.
"OK, I'll see you at the end of summer" I say and hug him tightly. I watch as he leaves the cabin and shuts the door behind him. I turn back to my 2 best friends. "So... what's been going on with you guys?" I ask and sit on my usual bed.
"Nothing really" Lola tells me.
"My mum got pregnant" Fern says excitedly.
"Oh my gosh, really!?" I ask.
"Yep, 8 months" she tells me smiling.
"Aww, I'm so happy for you!"
"Baby brother"
"Hah! Good luck with that" Lola mutters. We all laugh at Lola's comment.
"All right, lets unpack!" I yell. We all unzip our suitcases and split the drawers. We put all our folded clothes and pyjamas into the drawers and our books on the book shelves.

---

A couple hours later our favourite camp councillor, Stefan, knocks on our door. "Come in!" We all yell at the same time. Stefan enters our cabin.
"You girls ready for the first campfire of summer!?" He yells.
"Hell yeah!" We yell. We jump up and pull jumpers over our head and run out with Stefan. We race to the campfire where everyone is already sitting. I suddenly trip over a log and tumble down the hill. I stand up and shake the grass off while everyone laughs. I laugh too. "That was a fun way to start camp" I say laughing. I sit between Lola and Fern and pull up my hood. All the camp councillors walk down with marshmallows, hot chocolate, blankets, strawberries, grapes, pizza and pillows. "PARTY TIME!" I scream. Everyone cheers as the councillors lay everything out. There's 9 blankets for all 9 cabins. We all have our groups here. There hasn't been any new members in at least 7 years so we all just hang out with the people in our cabins. Everyone speaks to everyone but we just have certain groups. We even have certain camp councillors we speak with and our is Stefan.

We all sit down and dig into the food. Stefan finally sits down with us just as we are about to start toasting our marshmallows in the fire. He steals my marshmallow and shoves it in his mouth. "Hey!" I yell hitting him on the arm.
"Fluffy bunny" he says before swallowing the marshmallow.
"Dick" I mutter before grabbing another marshmallow and putting on a stick.
"What was that?" He asks pushing me over. I get back up and face him.
"Dick" I say louder and hit his abs.
"Oh really" he asks and suddenly picks me up and throws my over his shoulder.
"Put me down" I squeal and hit his back. He runs over to the lake and everyone follows. Every the councillors. They're all laughing. "Should I throw you in?" He asks.
"No please don't" I beg.
"Aww you're begging" he chuckles.
"Stefan! put me down!" I yell.
"Too late" he shouts and throws me into the lake. I scream as my body hits the freezing cold water. Everyone is laughing but I'm not. I swim to the shore and climb out. Stefan starts to run and I chase after him. My clothes aren't that heavy because I had leggings on. I run as fast as I can and when I catch up with him I jump on his back and he falls to the ground. He rolls over and pins my arms to the ground before getting up again. I stand up annoyed but then a thought comes to mind. I walk up to him and hug him. "Aww come on! You're soaking!" He complains.
"It's your fault" I say and let go. I smile satisfied and one of the councillors put a towel around me. "Thanks" I say and wrap it around me tightly.

We all walk back to the campfire and sit back down in our groups. I finally get to toast my marshmallow and I shove it in my mouth before anyone else can take it. Fern and I fight for the last grape while Stefan and Lola fight for the last piece of pizza.
"Alright guys! That's 10:30, time to go back to your cabins!" Yells one of the camp councillors. There's murmurs everywhere as everyone cleans up and starts heading up to their cabins. "Rad you to the cabins?" Lola asks Fern and I.
"Sure" Fern says.
"Shadow?" Lola asks.
"I'll catch up" I say. They nod and run off laughing. I walk up slowly to the cabins. I get a strange feeling as if someone is watching me. I look around me in the trees. I hear a snap of a twig and I turn my head to the left but there's no one there. I walk a little faster but each step I take I feel more uncomfortable. I just can't help but feel like there's someone out there watching me. I check the trees again but there's definitely no one there. Everyone's in the cabins apart from me. I walk as fast as I can to the cabins and shut the door quickly. "Are you OK?" Fern asks.
"Uhh... yeah" I say uncertainly. I see Fern and Lola give each other a worried look. But it doesn't seem as if it's me their worried about. It seems like something else. I shake it off and change into my pyjamas and lay down in my bed. I stare at the ceiling for what seems like hours before finally falling asleep.
