Here's what she learnt so far. She'd been put in the middle of a maze, which the others called the glade. She didn't feel safe here, and didn't think she would ever feel safe anywhere again. She had her back propped up against a tree, watching everyone as they seemingly knew there place. Where they belonged. She started to wonder where she belonged. Was it in here? With these- these people. She hadn't learnt any names yet, but she had earned some curious looks. But she didn't have the guts to question them. All she could so was sit there and observe. She did notice that she was the only girl. This only put her more on edge. Anything could happen. She was just a weak little girl. She didn't stand a chance fighting off... well, anyone for that matter. She was more frightened by the thought that she didn't remeber herself. She remembered nothing about who she was or who she was destined to be. She didn't know her name. She didn't know her age. She didn't know what she liked or didn't like. She didn't know if her family was thinking about her. She was internally screaming, but on the outside she seemed perfectly content. However, she would soon learn that that is the least of her problems. She looked up as she saw someone coming over and sitting beside her.

"Hi."

"Uhh, hi." She replied, a little startled.

"I'm Newt, by the way." He said and she nodded. "Do you know your name?"

"No. I don't really know anything."

"You don't have to be scared you know." He assures her. "I'm not gonna hurt you."

"I don't know what's going on. I don't know where I am. I don't know who I am. I think that's a reason to be frightened." She says with a small sigh. "Actually, I have something."

"What is it?" He watches her pull out the slip of paper that had been sat in her pocket and handed it to him. He opens it up and furrows his brows when he sees what's on it. "Where did you get this?"

"It was just in my pocket. Why? What does it say?" She asks egarly.

"It's a photo. A photo of you and Thomas." He answers, showing her the picture. There she stood beside him, both of them smiling widely. Looking at the two of them, they could've been related. They had the same hair colour, and their smile was almost the same. The only difference was their eye colour. His were brown but hers seemed to be green. "Did you know him?"

"I don't know. Do you think I should ask him?"

"Maybe we should sort out where you'll sleep. You do look tierd."

-----

She layed there as darkness fell over her. Too much had happened for her to be able to rest easily. She'd only met two people, and they seemed nice enough, but she still didn't know what tomorrow would bring. Her mind was screaming with questions that she knew would never be answered. She prayed she would remember something. Anything. Anything at all. But nothing. She rolled over and something bright caught her eye. It would seem someone had started a fire and was just sat watching it crackle. She got up, walking towards whoever it was.

"Can I sit?" She spoke, causing them to look up.

"Oh, yeah, of course." She sat down beside him. "Why are you awake?"

"I could ask you the same question, Thomas." She replied.

"I couldn't sleep." He says and she frowns a little. "Listen, Newt told me about the photo you found in your pocket."

"He did?"

"I knew I recognised you. I didn't remeber much when I came to the glade, but I did remember having a sister. She was little younger than me, but she was like my best friend. Her name was-"

"Her name was what?"

"Her name was, I don't actually remember. But I remember her laugh. It was the greatest thing you could ever hear, and when I came to the glade, all I wanted was to hear it again."

"Do you think I'm her? Your sister, I mean?" She asks.

"I hope so, I mean there's no way we could know for sure. But something inside is telling me you're her."

----

The next morning, she woke up with a strange sense of optimism. She'd got talking to a guy named Gally who, unbeknown to her, was trying his hardest to impress her.

"Why don't you just say that then?" She asked with a small laugh.

"I- I don't know." He replied. "So you and Shank know each other, huh?"

"Who, Thomas? Yeah, I think so." She nodded. "I'm glad that I at least know somebody here."

"Maybe you could know me." He said with a smrik.

"Okay, break it up." Thomas said, squeezing inbetween them. "Let's dial down the flirting, shall we."

"Flirting? What do you mean flirting?" She asked, a little lost. Thomas just gave her a look. "I'm serious, what's flirting?"

"Flirting. Like, trying to get you to like him. Trying to make you think he's right for you." He explains. "Do you get it?"

"I think so. Basically what you're saying is, he wants to date me?"

"Dude, I was just talking to her, what's your problem?" Gally says in his own defence and Thomas turns towards him suddenly.

"That's my sister, theres my problem." He replies defensively.

"Please don't fight, I'm sorry." She apologises.

"Who's fighting?" Newt asks and everyone looks at him as he approaches.

"Gally is hitting on the newbie." A boy across from them says with a smug expression. "Who's claiming to be Thomas' sister."

"I'm not claiming to be anything."

"I see it." Newt agreed, looking between the two of them. "They could be twins."

"Twin? What are twins?"

"Don't worry about it, dimples."

"Dimples?" Newt shrugged, earning a flare from Thomas. He wouldn't admit it, but he enjoyed being the protective older brother.
